Discontinued Day #17 - Catrice LE Arts Collection in: Forevergreen and Bronze-Deco

Buonasera a tutte!!
Il Discontinued Day è il giorno in cui mi diverto a tirare fuori dai cassetti pezzi di collezioni ormai introvabili, comprate da tempo e mai swatchate.
Oggi è la volta di questa bella collezione di foil della Catrice. Ne avevo presi tre, fra cui il rosa, e oggi ve ne mostrerò soltanto due.
Bronze-Deco è un oro foil caldo e un po' aranciato. L'oro da solo sulle unghie non mi fa impazzire, ma questo non mi è dispiaciuto, forse perché non è un oro vero e proprio! Due passate e nessun problema di stesura (senza top coat nelle foto)

I love the Discontinued Day because I always find some discontinued and old limited edition not yet swatched and bought some time ago...
Today you're going to see this beautiful collection of foils by Catrice. I'll show you only two of them, but I bought also the pink one.

Bronze Deco is a warm orange-gold foil. I don't like so much a full gold manicure, but this one is quite pretty! Two coats and a good formula (no top coat in the pics below).

Devo dire che suo fratello verde è decisamente più nelle mie corde, anzi, lo adoro!!

EuRoPe Challenge # 4 - Greece - Contrary Polish Santorini stamped in gold

Buonasera figliole!!
Il nostro giro europeo ci porta in Grecia, una terra che adoro e che ho nel cuore!! Lo sfondo del mio blog è una foto che ho scattato su una spiaggia greca qualche anno fa. Dopo esserci stata qualche volta soffro già di "mal della Grecia" e non vedo l'ora di tornarci!
La base per la manicure di oggi è ispirata al mare greco, e lo smalto è stato scelto apposta per il suo nome, Santorini!! Non è splendido? Un blu intenso pieno di flakies.
Ho deciso di fare uno stamping in stile greco con la fiaccola olimpica e qualche fregio dorato utilizzando la plate MoYou London Explorer Collection 09 e China Glaze Passion.
La qualità di queste plate è sorprendente: non pare anche a voi?
Quella delle foto un po' meno, purtroppo le ho scattate sotto l'acqua e un cielo cupo. Ormai siamo già in pieno Autunno!

Today we are in Greece. I love this country and a little piece of Greece is still in my heart!! The background of my blog is a picture that I took in a Greek beach some years ago. I miss it a lot and look forward to come back soon!
I chose my manicure base for its colour, inspired by the blue Aegean Sea, and by its  name, Santorini!! It's a gorgeous deep blue filled with flakies. 
I decided to stamp in greek style with the Olympic torch and some golden friezes using the plate MoYou London Explorer Collection 09 and China Glaze Passion. 
The quality of these plates is surprising, don't you think so? 
The quality of these pictures definitely not.  Unfortunately I took them under the rain and a dark sky. Welcome back rainy season!

Quante di voi conoscevano questa pietra prima che la Chanel lanciasse il famosissimo Peridot? Io no, però trovo che sia una pietra bellissima!
Ho scelto per rappresentarla uno dei numerosi dupes del Peridot di Chanel, lo Shaka Bronze, un multichrome che copre tutti i colori della pietra, dall'oro al bronzo al verde. All'ombra si possono vedere tutti comodamente!!



How many of you knew this stone before the well-known Chanel Peridot? I do not, but I find it a beautiful stone! 
I chose a Chanel Peridot dupe to represent it, Shaka Bronze, a multichrome that covers all the peridot colors, from gold to bronze to green. In the shade you can see them all without any problem!!

E poi, dato che mi piace giocare con i top coat, ho provato a dargli qualche sbrillo olografico, aggiungendo una passata di Elevation Polish Aguja St. Exupery.

Holothon 2.0 - # 2 Mentality Legislate

Buonasera ragazze!
E' da un po' che non vi mostro un indie, vero? Rimedierò con questo secondo appuntamento con la Holothon 2.0!
Vi mostrerò il secondo Mentality che ho provato: è un brand molto interessante che in Europa possiamo trovare da Edgy Polish. Legislate fa parte della 420 Holos Collection. E' un colore davvero unico: sul sito viene descritto come "deep honey brown holographic nail polish with green accent flecks". Il contrasto dei flakies verdi su base marrone lo rende una sorta di oro antico, molto profondo e pieno di riflessi.
Due passate per la coprenza totale, ottima formula e asciuga quasi matte.

For this second Holothon 2.0 day it's time to get out from my helmer another indie!
I'll show you the second Mentality I have tried: a very interesting brand. In Europe we can find it at Edgy Polish. 
Legislate is part of the 420 Holos Collection. It's so unique: on the website is described as "a deep honey brown holographic nail polish accent with green flecks". The contrast of the green flakies on the brown base makes it a kind of antique gold, very deep and full of reflections. 

Two coats in these pictures, excellent formula and it dries almost matte.

Pensate che queste foto risalgono a gennaio. Avevo pensato di utilizzarlo come base per il tema Klimt del Giardino d'Inverno, anche se poi avevo optato per una nail art. Adesso è arrivato anche il suo momento!


These pics date back to last January. I had thought of using it for the Klimt theme of our Winter Garden Challenge, even though I finally choose to do a nail art. Now its time has come!

Rainbow Ladies 2.0 # 6 - Yellow - WJ Con Burlesque LE # 01

Ciao a tutte!!
Benvenute al nuovo appuntamento delle Rainbow Ladies che ci porta un colore un po' controverso, il giallo. Per le unghie è un colore un po' difficile da portare, nonostante sia molto estivo e allegro. Ne ho pochissimi, la maggior parte già swatchati, e così ho deciso di scegliere un oro caldo, quasi giallo. Finalmente ho potuto provare il mio primo WJ Con dopo averne letto benissimo su molti blog, e dopo moltissimo tempo torno a postare un duochrome!
Questo colore lo trovo davvero favoloso: è un oro molto caldo, dai fortissimi riflessi verde oliva. Vi assicuro che non c'è da fare contorsioni per vedere il cambio di colore, e la formula è davvero ottima: due passate in tutta tranquillità!

Welcome back to Rainbow Ladies 2.0 with a problematic colour, yellow. Even if it's a summery and cheerful colour, it's so hard to wear. I have very few yellows in my stash, most of them already swatched, and so I decided to choose a warm gold, almost yellow. I finally tried my first WJ Con, so well-known among all the bloggers, and it's a duochrome!!
I find it gorgeous. It's a very warm gold, which turn to an olive green. I assure you that the colour change is quite obvious, and the formula is really great: two coats and that's all!

Giardino d'inverno # 6 - Kiko Denim nail lacquer #462 Tribal Purple + Essence Dark Romance LE #04 Gothic Gold

Buon San Valentino a tutte!
Per il Giardino d'Inverno di oggi non ho resistito e ho deciso di mostrarvi uno dei miei ultimi acquisti da Kiko: il Tribal Purple della collezione Denim! La formula è davvero fantastica: si stende che è una meraviglia ed è perfettamente opaco in due passate. Il finish è satinato con un leggerissimo shimmer che gli dà lucentezza. Mi dispiace di non avere foto al sole, perché si vedrebbe molto meglio!
Il tema di oggi l'ha proposto Natalia, ed è...San Valentino :-)
L'abbinamento viola/bordeaux-oro è uno dei miei preferiti, così ci ho voluto accostare questo oro freddo textured della Essence. All'inizio avevo pensato anche a dei cuoricini usando lo stesso oro che ho messo sul mignolo. Ho fatto un po' di prove sulla mano destra (è sempre lei la mia mano cavia per le nail art :-D), ma non mi piacevano per niente. I dots che vedete sul lato dell'unghia sono usciti assolutamente per caso (anche la grandezza è irregolare), ma mi piacevano, così li ho lasciati ^___^




Happy Valentine's Day! 
For today's Winter Garden I couldn't resist to show you one of my recent purchases from Kiko: Tribal Purple from the Denim Collection! The formula is really great: the application was a dream and it reaches a perfect coverage in two coats. It has a satin finish with a slight shimmer that gives it shine. I'm sorry I don't have pictures in the sun, because you would see it much better! 
Natalia suggested the theme of the day which is....Valentine's Day :-)
The combo purple/burgundy and gold is one of my favorites, so I've used the cold gold textured Gothic Gold from the Essence Dark Romance LE . At first I wanted to put some gold hearts on my nails. I did some tests on my right hand (which is my guinea pig for nail art:-D), but I didn't like any of them. I put some dots on the nail side, and with my surprise I really like them, so here they are in the pictures below ^___^

Giardino d'inverno # 5 - Klimt inspired nail art

Buongiorno a tutte!!
Oggi, grazie a Rebenice, il Giardino d'Inverno s'ispira all'arte di Klimt!
Ho dato un'occhiata alle opere più famose di questo straordinario pittore, ma è molto difficile trasporre qualcosa di Klimt sulle unghie :-(
E poi ho visto L'albero della vita, con quel pattern di rami che diventano riccioli, e ho scoperto pure di avere una plate che ricorda quei riccioli (Cheeky Plate CH52)!
Ho usato il mio adorato color panna (OPI The vampire is buff) come base, l'oro definitivo per lo stamping (China Glaze Passion) e poi un dotter con un po' di nero e bianco.
Quello che vedete nelle foto è il risultato, mattificato alla fine. Spero vi piaccia!

Today, thanks to Rebenice, the Winter Garden is inspired by the art of Klimt! 
I checked the most famous works of this extraordinary painter, but it's very difficult to transpose something on my nails :-( 
And then I saw The Tree of life with that pattern of swirled branches: I have a plate which reminds that pattern (Cheeky Plate CH52)! 
 I used my beloved white cream (OPI The vampire is buff) as a base, a gold that I bought specially for stamping (China Glaze Passion) and then I used a dotter with a bit of black and white. 
What you see in the pictures below is the result, mattified at the end. Do you like it?

Some winter stamping

Buongiorno a tutte!
Come state? Spero che abbiate passato uno splendido Natale con tutte le persone cui volete bene e vi siate rilassate a tavola! Io sono stata un po' di giorni in Trentino in pieno relax ^__^
Ho un po' di foto da mostrarvi, scattate prima di partire, in tema natalizio.
La prima è uno stamping fatto sulla base I'm backstage, il verde acqua shimmeroso della Beauty Beats LE di Essence. Lo trovo un colore molto carino! Il bianco sopra non fa abbastanza contrasto, e il risultato è fin troppo soft, ma alla fine non mi dispiace! Gli alberini invernali li ho presi dalla stamping plate Jumbo plate 6 Happy Holidays della Cheeky.

How are you? I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with all the people you love and you had some relax at the table! I have been some days in Trentino Alto Adige relaxing myself ^ __ ^

I have a couple of pics to show you, taken before leaving, in Christmas theme.

The first is a stamping done over I'm backstage, the shimmer aqua green from the Essence LE Beauty Beats. I think it's a very nice color! There's not enough contrast between the aqua green and the Konad white. The result is maybe too soft, but I like it anyway! The winter trees come from the Jumbo plate 6 Happy Holidays from Cheeky.

Per la prossima stampa avevo pensato di usare l'oro Suspect della LE Thrilling me softly di Catrice. Devo dire che da solo non mi è piaciuto per niente. Un colore troppo smorto che non sta per niente bene con la mia carnagione. Ho provato ad abbellirlo con il mio amato Dragon di A-England. Al sole, dove si vedono gli sbrilli holo non è male neanche questa! ^^


For the next stamping I wanted to try the gold Suspect from the Catrice LE Thrilling me softly. I don't like it on its own. I think it's too dull and it doesn't match my skin color. I tried to improve it with my beloved A-England Dragon. In the sunlight, where you can see the holo sparkles, it's not bad at all ^^

Ultimamente ho una vera e propria passione per lo stamping e quando la kkcenterhk mi ha proposto di spedirmi una plate ho colto l'occasione al volo! Uno dei design che preferisco è quello animalier ed ecco cosa ho scelto.

Lately I fell in love with the technique of the stamping and when kkcenterhk asked me to review a stamping plate I jumped at the chance! One of my favourite design is the animal print and this is what I chose.

Ho provato tre pattern su cinque, e ho deciso di suddividere i miei esperimenti in tre post. Il primo che vi mostro è la zebra. Dato che vi avevo già proposto una zebra con i classici colori bianco/nero, stavolta mi sono divertita a scegliere dei colori un po' più originali e natalizi: un bel rosso vino con flakies dorati come base (Elevation Polish Toubkal) e un oro per stampare (Illamasqua Swinger).

I tried three out of five patterns, and I decided to split my experiments in three posts. The first one is the zebra pattern. Since I had already proposed you a zebra pattern with the classic black/white combo, this time I had fun choosing some Christmas colors. A gorgeous red wine with gold flakies as a base (Elevation Polish Toubkal) and a gold used for stamping (Illamasqua Swinger).

Battle of Planets # 8 - Jupiter: A-England Holy Grail (old version)

Buongiorno ragazze, e buon venerdì!!
Oggi sbarchiamo sul pianeta Giove e vestiremo tutte le nostre unghie di giallo! Trovare un giallo con un finish metallico o foil non è affatto semplice. Scavando nel mio stash ho trovato solo questo oro, che però è un oro molto giallo ^___^
E' un altro A-England, spero non vi siate stufate di questa marca! :-) Io no, anche perché devo dire che questo oro mi ha piacevolmente sorpreso sulle unghie: mi piace davvero molto!!
Lo trovo molto regale, e così ho deciso di arricchirlo con una pietra gioiello azzurra comprata da Viva la nails tempo fa. Che ve ne pare del risultato?

Today we land on the planet Jupiter and all of our nails will be yellow-dressed! I admit that finding a yellow nail polish with a metallic or foil finish isn't easy. Digging into my stash I only found this gold, but it's a yellowish gold ^ ___ ^
It 's another A-England, I hope you're not tired of this brand! :-) I do not, because I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by this gold on my nails: I really like it!
I find it very regal, and so I decided to enrich it with a blue jewel stone bought from Viva la nails some time ago. What do you think of the result?

Battle of Planets # 1 - Sun: A-England And the Moonbeams... + A-England She Walks in Beauty

Buona domenica a tutte!!
Come vi avevo preannunciato venerdì oggi comincia una nuova avventura!! La mia amica Francine ha ideato questa Battaglia dei Pianeti dedicata al Sistema solare dove ogni pianeta è associato a un colore, e il finish degli smalti utilizzati è rigorosamente metallico, chrome, foil o magnetico.
Cominciamo oggi che è domenica per celebrare l'equinozio di autunno, ma i prossimi appuntamenti saranno tutti di venerdì.
Il pianeta di oggi è il Sole, nostra fonte di vita, e il suo colore è l'oro!
Ho scoperto di amare molto l'oro: ho boccette di tutte le sfumature e con tutti i finish, forse è il mio metallico preferito insieme al bronzo! Per oggi ho scelto due smalti A-England, entrambi della collezione Heavenly Quotes, arrivati con l'ultima spedizione della Royal Mail dell'anno scorso prima del blocco (sigh!).
Vi mostrerò And the moonbeams.... da solo: lo vedo come un foil di una splendida sfumatura d'oro, molto luminoso. E' anche molto sheer, quindi si può scegliere di usarlo come smalto da layering (io l'ho provato qui). Se lo volete usare da solo ci vogliono almeno tre passate.

As I announced last Friday, today begins a new adventure! My friend Francine has created these twin posts dedicated to the Solar System where each planet is associated with a color. We have to use only metallic, chrome, foil or magnetic nail polishes.
Let's start today which is Sunday to celebrate the autumn equinox, but the upcoming events will all be on Friday.
Today we have got the Sun, our source of life, and its color is gold!
I discovered that I really love this color: I have bottles of all shades, maybe it's my favorite metallic color along with bronze! For today I chose two A-England, both from the Heavenly Quotes collection, arrived with the last shipment of the Royal Mail last year before the block (sigh!).
And the Moonbeams... is a foil of a beautiful shade of gold, very bright. It 'also very sheer, so you can choose to use it for layering (I have tried it here). If you want to use it on its own you need at least three coats.

Non ho resistito ad aggiungere She Walks in Beauty dato che sembrano fatti apposta per stare insieme: la base è la stessa, nel secondo ci sono in più dei glitter rosa metallici di varie dimensioni. E dato che non avevo ancora mai provato una reverse glitter gradient, ecco qua il risultato.


I couldn't resist to add She Walks in Beauty as they seem to be made to be together. The base is the same, She Walks in Beauty has some pink metallic glitter of various sizes. And since I had never tried before a reverse gradient glitter, here is the result.
