Polish Days - To boldly go... Galaxy nails

Ciao a tutte!!

Oggi vanno di scena i Polish Days!! Il tema di questo mese lo tradurrei liberamente con il "Verso l'infinito e oltre" del Buzzlightyear di Toy Story (da appassionata di film d'animazione me li sono visti tutti e tre :-) )
Ecco come ce lo descrive Hannah di Polly Polish:

Whether it's sci-fi or sci-real (yep, I'm going with that terrible wording) it fits the theme for June.

Maybe you're a Trekkie, or perhaps a Star Wars fan, or maybe just a lover of all thing sci-fi. Maybe you love space and dreamed of being an astronaut. Perhaps like me you just haven't gotten around to doing a galaxy manicure and this would be a good excuse to give it a whirl.

In effetti era tanto tempo che volevo provare una galaxy manicure, così ho preso l'occasione al volo e mi sono lanciata nell'impresa! :-)

Posso dirvi che mi sono divertita davvero molto a paciugare con i colori e con le spugne: il risultato è un po' sconclusionato, però vi assicuro che da lontano sembravano davvero galassie lontane :-)) 

Ho intenzione di riprovarci e perfezionarmi nella tecnica: d'altronde sbagliando ed esercitandosi s'impara!

In fact it was so long that I wanted to try a galaxy manicure, so I took the chance and I dived into this adventure! :-)

I can tell you that I enjoyed very much to play with colors and with sponges: the result is a bit messy, but  I'm going to try again and improve my technique. With practice and mistakes it's possible to learn!

Polish Days: The Number 5

Buonasera a tutte!!
Siamo all'appuntamento di maggio dei Polish Days! Sapete che ogni mese c'è un tema cui ispirarsi: oggi si tratta del Numero 5!


Good evening girls!!
Today is May Polish Days! You know that every month there's an inspiration theme: today it's the number 5!

Ho rischiato di non partecipare: questo tema non riusciva a far scattare nessun clic alla mia ispirazione, finché non ho pensato: perché non fare una manicure ispirata al Cinco de Mayo, dato che ci siamo anche vicini come data? Posso fare delle unghie messicane ^___^
E da lì è scattata l'ispirazione!! Ho trovato un'immagine e l'ho tradotta in termini di nail art:


I thought I wouldn't make it this month. The number 5 didn't tell anything to my creativity, until I thought: what if I did a manicure inspired by the Cinco de Mayo? I could do Mexican nails ^ ___ ^!
And here it is my inspiration! I found a picture on the web and I translated it in terms of nail art:

Polish Days - 7 Deadly Sins

Ciao a tutte!!
Oggi è il giorno del mio secondo appuntamento con i Polish Days, ed il tema è quello dei Sette peccati capitali!


Hi girls!
Today is Polish days, my second time, with the 7 deadly sins!

Hannah di Polly Polish, l'organizzatrice dell'evento, scrive: "It's hard not to think of Brad Pitt with this theme" e, ragazze, il film Seven è stata la prima cosa che mi è venuta in mente appena ho letto il tema, e anche la fonte della mia ispirazione!

Hannah from Polly Polish, the organizer of this event, writes: "It's hard not to think of Brad Pitt with this theme," and, girls, Seven the movie was the first thing that came to my mind when I read this topic, and also the main source of my inspiration!

Per la base ho scelto un grigio chiaro jelly con dei flakes bianco/argento, Raindrops di Illamasqua, dato che dal cielo di Seven non smette mai di piovere! 
La seconda locandina che vedete qua sopra è stata fonte di ispirazione per il mio indice. Ho usato un acrilico rosso. Scusate lo stato impietoso dell'indice: mi si è rotto un angolo proprio il giorno delle foto!
Per il medio la mia ispirazione è stato il 7 che vedete nella prima locandina qua in alto. Per questo ho usato le mie nail art pen bianca e nera di Models Own.
L'anulare è la mia prima splatter nail art, di cui sono anche molto fiera ^___^. Devo ringraziare Sara di She Loves Polishes per il suo tutorial e mio marito che mi ha dato una mano con gli esperimenti con la cannuccia! Ho usato Alarm, sempre di Illamasqua.
Per il mignolo ho usato un po' di rhinestones a formare una croce. 
Il risultato è un'atmosfera vagamente horror che mi ha molto soddisfatto!


For the base I chose a light grey jelly with white/silver flakes , Raindrops by Illamasqua, because Seven's sky never stops raining!
The second picture here above has been a source of inspiration for my index. I used a red acrylic. Please excuse my index: I broke a corner of this nail the day I took these pictures!
For the medium my inspiration was the 7 you see in the first picture here above. For this I used my nail art pens white and black by Models Own.
The ring finger is my first splatter nail art, and I'm very proud of it ^ ___ ^. I have to thank Sara from She Loves Polishes for her tutorials and my husband who helped me with my experiments with a straw! I used Alarm, always from Illamasqua.
For the little finger I used a bit of rhinestones to form a cross.
The result gives me a vaguely horror atmosphere which is what I was looking for!

Polish Days - Vintage

Ciao a tutte!
Oggi è il giorno di Polish Days. Ho scoperto questa iniziativa grazie a Simona di Light Your Nails il mese scorso; ho visto che è aperto a tutti e così ho deciso di buttarmi e partecipare anch'io! In fondo, perché no? Così oggi sperimenterò la versione bilingue del blog, che potrebbe anche diventare definitiva ^___^
Il tema dei Polish Days di questo mese è il vintage, in tutte le sue espressioni: siamo quindi libere di interpretarlo a piacimento.

Today is Polish Days. Thanks to Simona Light Your Nails, last month I discovered this initiative; it's open to everybody and so I decided to jump in and participate! Why not?
So today I'm testing the new bilingual version of my blog which can turn the final one. ^___^
Polish Days theme of the month is the vintage in all its expressions, so we are free to interpret it as we wish.

Mi sono guardata un sacco di immagini su internet: alla fine ho trovato questo tutorial che mi è sembrato carino, e l'ho reinterpretato con dei colori che m'ispiravano una vecchia tappezzeria.
Sarò riuscita a esprimere uno spirito vintage?

I looked at a lot of images on google: at the end I found this tutorial which I thought was cute, and I reinterpreted it with colours that inspired me an old tapestry.
Have I been able to express a vintage spirit?
