Googlando fra le immagini ho scoperto che è molto più arancione di quello che immaginavo, e allora ho deciso di fare una velocissima nail art con il mio fido fan brush usando:

Base gialla: Kiko Sun Show LE # 467 Quindim Gold
Arancio: Kiko Sun Show LE # 469 Delicious Mango + Shaka Glam Love




While I was searching some pictures on the web I found out that the yellow topaz is much more orange than I thought, so I decided to make a fast and easy nail art with my beloved fan brush using:

Yellow Base: Kiko Sun Show LE  # 467 Quindim Gold
Orange: Kiko  Sun Show LE # 469 Delicious Mango + Shaka Glam Love

EuRoPe Challenge # 6 - Portugal - Lisbon tram

....e benvenute in Portogallo!! Lo so, è tardi, quindi vi mostro subito l'immagine che mi ha ispirato la nail art di oggi.

... And welcome to Portugal !! I know, it's late, so I'm going to show you the picture that inspired my nail art.

E' lui, il tram di Lisbona, uno dei simboli della città, che percorre su e giù le strade pendenti e strettissime del quartiere dell'Alfama, dove nessun autobus riuscirebbe a passare! Il design interno è quello in legno dei primi del Novecento, anche se con gli anni è stato rimodernato.

Ho cercato di riprodurlo sull'anulare utilizzando come base un giallo senape che non vedevo l'ora di mostrarvi ancora, Elevation Polish Streetside, NYC, il bianco è lo Shaka Matt White, per l'intelaiatura che ho disegnato a mano (argh!!), il nero della french-tetto è il solito Camelot A-England e il fanale è una pietruzza.

It's the Lisbon tram, one of the symbols of this city, which runs up and down the narrow streets of the Alfama district where no bus would be able to pass! The interior design is in wood, the same as it was in the early twentieth century, although it has been modernized over the years. 

The base for my nail art is Elevation Polish Streetside, NYC. You have already seen it, but I love it. The white is Shaka Matt White for my free-hand lines, the black for the roof is A-England Camelot, and the light is a rhinestone.

Ho deciso di partecipare, perché mentre guardavo il video degli Earth Wind & Fire, mi è arrivata l'ispirazione, e ho "saputo" cos'avrei voluto fare!
Una manicure ispirata ai costumi dei membri del gruppo! Poi mi direte se secondo voi ci sono riuscita.

Prima di passare alle foto un paio di annotazioni. Causa grave rottura al medio della swatching hand, sono passata alla mano destra, e non sono più abituata a scattare foto con la sinistra :-(
Seconda cosa: perdonate le sbavature del top coat! Spero che la prossima volta vada meglio!

I decided to participate, because while I was watching the Earth Wind & Fire video, I had a sudden inspiration, and I "knew" what to do! 
A manicure inspired by the costumes of the members of the group! Then you'll tell me if I succeeded a bit.

Here's what I used: 
white base: Shaka Matt White 
gold base: China Glaze Passion 
stripes: Elevation Polish The Arches, Kiko 367 Pearly Pink Salmon and Elevation Polish Streetside, New York 


Before moving onto the pictures, a couple of notes. I broke seriously my swatching hand middle finger, so I had to use my right hand, but it was very hard to take pictures with the left hand :-(
Second thing: unfortunately the top coat smeared everything! I hope next time will be better!

Birthstone Challenge # 8 - Peridot: Shaka CH1 Bronze ft. Elevation Polish Aguja St. Exupery as special guest

Quante di voi conoscevano questa pietra prima che la Chanel lanciasse il famosissimo Peridot? Io no, però trovo che sia una pietra bellissima!
Ho scelto per rappresentarla uno dei numerosi dupes del Peridot di Chanel, lo Shaka Bronze, un multichrome che copre tutti i colori della pietra, dall'oro al bronzo al verde. All'ombra si possono vedere tutti comodamente!!



How many of you knew this stone before the well-known Chanel Peridot? I do not, but I find it a beautiful stone! 
I chose a Chanel Peridot dupe to represent it, Shaka Bronze, a multichrome that covers all the peridot colors, from gold to bronze to green. In the shade you can see them all without any problem!!

E poi, dato che mi piace giocare con i top coat, ho provato a dargli qualche sbrillo olografico, aggiungendo una passata di Elevation Polish Aguja St. Exupery.


And then, since I like playing with top coats, I added some holographic bling, with a coat of Elevation Polish Aguja St. Exupery.

Rainbow Ladies 2.0 # 13 - Rainbow - Fan brush rainbow nail art

Buonasera figliole!!
Sembra incredibile, ma siamo arrivate alla fine della nostra challenge che ha ripreso i colori dell'arcobaleno.
Come l'anno scorso l'ultimo post è dedicato all'arcobaleno con i suoi 7 colori. Pensa che ripensa ho deciso di riprovare a usare un pennello che mi aveva dato discrete soddisfazioni durante la Battle of Planets, ossia il fan brush. Avendo pochissimo tempo in questo periodo, poteva essere la nail art ideale. Peccato che il risultato finale non sia stato proprio il massimo, pazienza: spero apprezzerete ugualmente! In ogni caso dovrò riprovarci ancora ^___^

Ho usato come base un celeste pastello della Flormar, il 423, a imitare il colore del cielo. Poi ho steso i 7 smalti dei 7 colori dell'iride su carta stagnola e ho intinto il fan brush usando circa tre colori per unghia sulla base celeste.
Ho usato:

rosso: Illamasqua Alarm
arancione: Essie Capri
giallo: Butter London Cheeky Chops
verde: Kiko 391Verde Erba
blu: Kiko 336 Blu elettrico
viola: Shaka Purple music
indaco: Barry M Indigo

It seems incredible, but that's the last Rainbow Ladies 2.0 day!
Like last year, the latest post is dedicated to the rainbow with its seven colours. I decided to try again the fan brush, which gave me so much fun during the Battle of Planets. In addition it's a very quick nail art, and now I'm always in the hurry and have no time for painting my nails. The result it's not what I expected from that but, huh, I hope you'll like it anyway! 
I'll have to try it again ^ ___ ^

I used as base a Flormar pastel blue, # 423, to suggest the colour of the sky. Then I put some drops of the 7 colours of the rainbow over an aluminum sheet and I dipped in the fan brush. I used about three colours per nail, and exactly:

Red:         Illamasqua Alarm
Orange:   Essie Capri
Yellow:    Butter London Cheeky Chops
Green:    Kiko 391Green Grass
Blue:       Kiko 336 Electric Blue
Purple:   Shaka Purple music
Indigo:    Barry M Indigo

And here is what it came out ...

Rainbow Ladies 2.0 # 10 - Indigo - Shaka Pandora

Buonasera fanciulle!!
Oggi parliamo di indaco, e, come l'anno scorso, vi mostrerò una via di mezzo fra il blu e il viola, il blurple. Mi sono scervellata abbastanza per trovare qualcosa di adatto, e l'ultima idea è stata quella di proporvi Pandora della Shaka.
L'avevo già utilizzato come mutanda™ per un glitter qua, scrivendo che si meritava un post a parte. Finalmente questo momento è giunto. Alla fine del post mi direte se ne valeva la pena! :-D

Parte della collezione Cosmo, Pandora è uno splendido blurple metallico dai riflessi sia blu che viola. Insomma, un perfetto mix dei due colori, coprente in due passate.
Perdonate lo stato delle mie unghie. Ho avuto una brutta rottura all'indice, e ho accorciato drasticamente la lunghezza...



Today we are talking about the indigo, and, like last year, I'll show you a blurple.
 I've worked hard to find something suitable, and the last idea was Shaka Pandora. 
I had already used it as underwear for a glitter here, and finally the moment to show it on its own has come. At the end of this post you'll tell me if it was worth it! :-D 

Part of the Cosmo collection, Pandora is a beautiful metallic blurple with a blue and purple shimmer. Briefly, a perfect mix of the two colors, covering in two coats. 
Please forgive my nubbies. I had a bad break at the index, and I've drastically shortened the length of my nails ...

Birthstone Challenge # 4 - Diamond: Shaka Hologram Silver + Born Pretty Store Nail Art Shiny Hexagonal Glitter Powder Sheets Tips Tool

Avete passato un bel week end di Pasqua? Io sì: dato che ieri era anche il mio compleanno abbiamo festeggiato insieme ad alcuni amici e non avrei potuto chiedere di più!
Oggi torna la Birthstone Challenge ideata dalla nostra Elena, e si parla della mia pietra che è il diamante! Molto impegnativa come birthstone, non credete? La pietra preziosa per eccellenza, la più dura, quella che simboleggia l'amore durevole, e che si trova sugli anelli di fidanzamento.
Per ricrearla sulle unghie ho pensato a uno smalto olografico. Ho scelto lo Shaka Holo Silver, perché è uno splendido holo linear dall'effetto davvero potentissimo, e si può ancora trovare negli OVS a € 1,99! Questo in particolare viene dal primo swap che ho fatto con Silvia di Smaltomania, ed è stato lo smalto che ha dato lo spunto a tutto quello che è venuto dopo! Grazie ancora Silvia per la tua gentilezza e disponibilità!
Dato che il diamante per me dev'essere qualcosa di eccessivo, ho voluto esagerare in sbrillio, e ho aggiunto dei "glequins" (che significa glitter + sequins, ossia paillettes) che mi ha gentilmente fornito la Born Pretty Store. Did you have a nice Easter weekend ? I did! Yesterday was my birthday and I celebrated it with my family and some friends: I couldn't ask more!
Today the Birthstone Challenge created by our Elena, is back, and it's the turn of my birthstone, the diamond! It's the most valuable stone, the hardest one, it symbolizes the enduring love, and you can find it on almost all the engaging rings.
The diamond made me think of a holographic polish. I chose Shaka Hologram Silver, because it has got a beautiful linear holo effect really powerful, and you can still find it in the OVS at € 1.99! This bottle come from my first swap with Silvia of Smaltomania , and it was the nail polish that started everything! Thanks Silvia for your kindness and helpfulness!

Lately I decided to try some water decals. Why not? They are an excellent solution when you have limited time, and the effect is guaranteed! 
KKcenterHK kindly provided these ones in order to review them. I have chosen them from their huge list and I liked them so much since the first glance. They look like the blue flowers that decorate some Ming vases.  Here is the code: SY1081. 
Once wet, I have applied them on my nails previously painted with a white base (Shaka Matt White).

Rainbow Ladies 2.0 # 1 - Black & White - W7 Salt'n pepper + L'Oréal Confettis over black and white

Ciao bellezze!!
Oggi è venerdì e comincia una nuova avventura!! Vi ricordate delle Rainbow Ladies? (Se non lo ricordate, qua c'è il link) Grazie a Francine e Simona, abbiamo la versione aggiornata di quest'anno, la 2.0!! ^___^
Ci saranno anche delle piccole novità che scoprirete via via! La prima riguarda il colore di questa settimana: Bianco e Nero!!
Ho subito pensato a uno dei miei untrieds, un W7, marchio inglese economico che ho comprato prima che la Royal Mail vietasse di spedire smalti dall'Inghilterra. Questo è un bellissimo bianco pieno di minuscoli glitter neri. Dato che è un po' sheer bisogna abbondare nelle passate (almeno tre o quattro senza una base bianca sotto!!). Il lato positivo è che si viene a creare un sandwich di glitter in vari toni di grigio :-D
Su anulare e mignolo ho pensato a qualcosa di diverso. Base bianca (Shaka Matt White) su anulare, su cui ho spugnato un po' di nero sulla punta e base nera (A-England Camelot) sul mignolo su cui ho spugnato un po' di bianco. Su tutt'e due ho steso una passata di L'Oréal Confettis, bellissimo top coat con tanti glitterini bianchi e neri in una base trasparente, ma shimmer. Nelle foto al sole si nota il luccichio dello shimmer!

It's Friday and a new adventure begins! Do you remember the Rainbow Ladies? ( If you don't, here's the link) Thanks to Francine and Simona, we have the updated version, 2.0 ! ^ ___ ^
There will also be some news that you're going to discover soon! The first is about the color of this week: Black and White!
I immediately thought of one of my untrieds , a W7, a British low cost brand that I bought before the Royal Mail block of nail polish shipments. This is a beautiful white full of tiny black glitters . It's a bit sheer and requires many coats (three or four without a white base underneath). But here we have a glitter sandwich in different shades of grey :-D
On the ring finger I put a white base (Shaka Matt White) and I sponged a bit of black, while on the little finger I put a black base (A-England Camelot) and then I sponged a bit of white. On top of both I put a coat  of L'Oréal Confettis , a beautiful top coat with many little black and white glitters in a transparent  shimmery base. In the pictures below you can see the shimmer in the sun!

Giardino d'inverno # 9 - A Song of Ice & Fire

Benvenute al Giardino d'Inverno!
Il tema di oggi l'ha scelto Sara, ed è "il nostro libro preferito". Io sono una lettrice compulsiva fin dalla più tenera età. Devo assolutamente avere sempre un libro da leggere, mi serve proprio per vivere :-D
Capirete che è difficile decidere quale sia il mio libro preferito. Ce ne sarebbero tantissimi!
In questo periodo sto leggendo soprattutto thriller, ma il mio libro preferito è stato per anni Il Signore degli Anelli, e il genere Fantasy è ancora nel mio cuore. Qualche anno fa mi sono appassionata alla saga di George R.R. Martin, Le Cronache del Ghiaccio e del Fuoco, ed è qui che ho preso ispirazione per la mia nail art.
Una cosa davvero semplicissima che ho fatto oggi in più o meno dieci minuti O__O

Welcome to the Winter Garden !
Today's theme has been chosen by Sara, and it's "our favourite book".  I am a compulsive reader (a book-aholic :-) ) from an early age. 
I must have a book to read, always, it's a life need.
You will understand that it's difficult to decide which is my favourite book . There could be many!
In this period I'm reading mostly thrillers, but my favourite book has been The Lord of the Rings for years, and the fantasy genre is still in my heart. A few years ago I fell in love with the saga A Song of Ice and Fire, written by George R. R. Martin, and that's where I got inspiration for my nail art.
A really simple mani that I did today in more or less ten minutes O__O

Sara's Contest: Something about me - Tribal gecko tattoo

Buongiorno a tutte!!
Oggi vorrei mostrarvi la manicure che ho mandato alla carinissima Sara per il suo contest Something about me. Pensate che ha messo in palio un'intera collezione Essence che non arriverà mai da noi in Italia, la Superheroes!! Il tema del concorso è raccontare con una nail art qualcosa di noi.
Qualche giorno fa mi è venuto in mente che avrei potuto provare a disegnare sulle unghie un tatuaggio che ho sulla schiena e che mi accompagna dal lontano 1998. Si tratta di uno dei miei animali preferiti, il geco. All'epoca avevo trovato un'immagine che mi piaceva moltissimo e che lo ritraeva in stile tribale. Adesso è un po' scolorito, però sta sempre con me e sono ancora felice di averlo.
Ho deciso di disegnarlo su base azzurra, che è uno dei miei colori smaltosi preferiti, insieme al verde. Ho steso come base Kiko 340 (celeste), poi con il fan brush ho mixato bianco (Shaka Matt White), Kiko 385 (blu pastello) e Kiko 386 (azzurro pastello).
Il disegno del geco l'ho fatto a mano libera con acrilico nero e un pennellino. Ehm, come al solito sorvolate sul grado di precisione!!

Today I want to show you the manicure that I sent to the lovely Sara for her contest Something about me. The prize is the whole Essence LE Superheroes that will never come out here in Italy!
The theme of the contest is to tell something about us with a nail art .
A few days ago I had the idea that I could try to draw on my nails a tattoo which is on my back since 1998. 
It's one of my favourite animals'tattoo in tribal style. Now it's a bit faded , however, it's always with me and I'm still happy to have it.
I chose a blue base , which is one of my favorite nail polish colors, along with the green. 
I used as a base Kiko 340 (sky blue), then with a fan brush I mixed three colors: Shaka Matt white (white), Kiko 385 (pastel blue) and Kiko 386 (light pastel blue).
The drawing of the gecko is freehand with black acrilyc and a small brush. Um, as usual I haven't been so accurate!!

Birthstone Challenge # 2 - Amethyst: Shaka Amethyst

Ciao a tutte!
Oggi torna la Birthstone Challenge dedicata alla pietra preziosa del mese e ideata dalla super creativa Ere Kanezawa! La pietra di febbraio è l'ametista: il suo colore è il viola e rappresenta la regalità e il potere.
Per questo mese ho scelto uno Shaka che si chiama proprio Amethyst: dovevo assolutamente provarlo in quest'occasione! :-D
E' un viola chiaro metallico, coprente in due passate. Dopo la stesura si vedono un po' i segni delle pennellate, anche se non in modo eccessivo. Nelle foto ho messo anche una passata di top coat.

Today the Birthstone Challenge, dedicated to the gemstone of the month and created by the lovely Ere Kanezawa is back! The stone of February is the amethyst: its color can range from a light violet to a dark purple and it represents royalty and the power.
I chose a Shaka called Amethyst: I absolutely had to try it on this occasion! :-D 
It's a light purple metallic, opaque in two coats. When you apply it, it leaves some brushstrokes, but not so visible. The pictures below are with top coat.
