Googlando fra le immagini ho scoperto che è molto più arancione di quello che immaginavo, e allora ho deciso di fare una velocissima nail art con il mio fido fan brush usando:

Base gialla: Kiko Sun Show LE # 467 Quindim Gold
Arancio: Kiko Sun Show LE # 469 Delicious Mango + Shaka Glam Love




While I was searching some pictures on the web I found out that the yellow topaz is much more orange than I thought, so I decided to make a fast and easy nail art with my beloved fan brush using:

Yellow Base: Kiko Sun Show LE  # 467 Quindim Gold
Orange: Kiko  Sun Show LE # 469 Delicious Mango + Shaka Glam Love

EuRoPe Challenge # 5 - Luxembourg - Inspired by the Luxembourg coat of arms

Buonasera fanciulle e ben trovate!
Oggi nel nostro tour europeo ci troviamo in Lussemburgo. Ci ho fatto tappa una sera durante un tour europeo con i miei amici quando avevo circa 25 anni e mi ricordo solo del castello da favola e dei prati fioriti curatissimi e perfetti!
Per la nail art di stasera però mi sono ispirata allo stemma del Lussemburgo che immagino tutte voi conosciate! No? :-) Ok, eccola!



Good evening girls and welcome to our EuRoPe challenge! 
Today we are in Luxembourg. I've stopped there one evening during a European tour with my friends when I was about 25 years old and I just remember its fairy-tale castle and some perfect meadows full of flowers! 
Anyway for this nail art I was inspired by the coat of arms of Luxembourg, which I guess you all know it! Don't you? :-) Ok, here it is!

EuRoPe Challenge #1 - Pizza manicure ft. Kiko 493 Vino Perlato

Buonasera a tutte e benvenute alla nostra nuova Challenge!
La nostra mitica GoldFrancine ha avuto l'idea di percorrere tutta l'Europa, un paese alla volta, nella nostra nuova Twinsie che ci accompagnerà per 13 settimane! Ne vedremo delle belle!! :-)
Oggi eccezionalmente postiamo di martedì dato che è il primo giorno di autunno (stamattina c'erano già 13°C, brrrrr!!), ma da venerdì prossimo continueremo a pubblicare ogni venerdì!
La prima puntata è dedicata all'Italia, e ho deciso di celebrarla con uno dei simboli italiani...la pizza!! Per l'indice e il medio ho usato invece uno smalto italiano, uno dei nuovi colori della Kiko, questo splendido rosso che la Kiko ha chiamato "Vino perlato". Su anulare e medio ho usato come base My vampire is buff e ho stampato con A-England Perceval con una plate della Cheeky, la CH41.

Our amazing GoldFrancine had the idea to travel throughout Europe, one country at a time, in our new Twinsie that will last 13 weeks! We will see some crazy gorgeousness !! :-) 
Today we exceptionally post on Tuesday, since it's the first day of Autumn (this morning Piacenza was breezing at 13 ° C!!). From 26th of September we will keep on posting every Friday! 
The first EuRoPe day is dedicated to Italy, and I decided to celebrate it with an Italian symbol... pizza!! On the index and on the middle finger I'm wearing an Italian nail polish, one of the new Kiko's colours, this beautiful red that Kiko called "Pearly Wine". On the ring and little finger I used as a base OPI My vampire is buff,  as a stamping nail polish A-England Perceval and  a Cheeky Plate, CH41.

Ho deciso di partecipare, perché mentre guardavo il video degli Earth Wind & Fire, mi è arrivata l'ispirazione, e ho "saputo" cos'avrei voluto fare!

Prima di passare alle foto un paio di annotazioni. Causa grave rottura al medio della swatching hand, sono passata alla mano destra, e non sono più abituata a scattare foto con la sinistra :-(
Seconda cosa: perdonate le sbavature del top coat! Spero che la prossima volta vada meglio!

GoldFrancine had a really nice idea for a September themed contest! Do you want to know something more? Run and read this post! 
I decided to participate, because while I was watching the Earth Wind & Fire video, I had a sudden inspiration, and I "knew" what to do! 
A manicure inspired by the costumes of the members of the group! Then you'll tell me if I succeeded a bit.

Here's what I used: 
white base: Shaka Matt White 
gold base: China Glaze Passion 
stripes: Elevation Polish The Arches, Kiko 367 Pearly Pink Salmon and Elevation Polish Streetside, New York 


Before moving onto the pictures, a couple of notes. I broke seriously my swatching hand middle finger, so I had to use my right hand, but it was very hard to take pictures with the left hand :-(
Second thing: unfortunately the top coat smeared everything! I hope next time will be better!

Discontinued Day #13 - Kiko Sun Pearl LE in # 428 River Green and #429 Blue Spot

Buonasera ragazze!!
Per il Discontinued Day di questo mese torno a mostrarvi dei Kiko della scorsa estate, e precisamente i due colori che mi mancava di swatchare della Sun Pearl LE. Il terzo che ho comprato è il  # 427 Amable Chartreuse.
River Green dalla boccetta era il mio preferito della collezione. Uno splendido verde foresta dal sottotono leggermente blu in una mare di glassflecks dorati, coprente in due passate.

For the July's Discontinued Day I'll show you two more Kiko from the discontinued last summer LE Sun Pearl. I bought a third one from this LE: #427 Amable Chartreuse. 
Green River was my favourite from the bottle. A beautiful pine green with a slightly blue undertone full of ​​golden glassflecks, covering in two coats.

Quando però ho indossato Blue Spot mi sono ricreduta: l'ho trovato molto più bello sulle unghie che in boccetta, ed è salito al pari merito con River Green come preferito della Sun Pearl.
E' quasi un one coater: se avete le unghie corte vi basterà una passata, se le avete lunghe con una seconda passata sottile siete a posto.
Uno splendido blu intriso di glass flecks argentee, ma più discrete di quelle dorate di River Green.



But when I wore Blue Spot I changed my mind.  I prefer it on my nails than in the bottle, and it's now a favourite for me!
It 's almost a one coater.  If you have short nails you need just one coat; I have longer nails and needed two thin coats.
It's a beautiful medium blue full of silver glassflecks, softer than River Green.

Rainbow Ladies 2.0 # 13 - Rainbow - Fan brush rainbow nail art

Buonasera figliole!!
Sembra incredibile, ma siamo arrivate alla fine della nostra challenge che ha ripreso i colori dell'arcobaleno.
Come l'anno scorso l'ultimo post è dedicato all'arcobaleno con i suoi 7 colori. Pensa che ripensa ho deciso di riprovare a usare un pennello che mi aveva dato discrete soddisfazioni durante la Battle of Planets, ossia il fan brush. Avendo pochissimo tempo in questo periodo, poteva essere la nail art ideale. Peccato che il risultato finale non sia stato proprio il massimo, pazienza: spero apprezzerete ugualmente! In ogni caso dovrò riprovarci ancora ^___^

Ho usato come base un celeste pastello della Flormar, il 423, a imitare il colore del cielo. Poi ho steso i 7 smalti dei 7 colori dell'iride su carta stagnola e ho intinto il fan brush usando circa tre colori per unghia sulla base celeste.
Ho usato:

rosso: Illamasqua Alarm
arancione: Essie Capri
giallo: Butter London Cheeky Chops
verde: Kiko 391Verde Erba
blu: Kiko 336 Blu elettrico
viola: Shaka Purple music
indaco: Barry M Indigo

It seems incredible, but that's the last Rainbow Ladies 2.0 day!
Like last year, the latest post is dedicated to the rainbow with its seven colours. I decided to try again the fan brush, which gave me so much fun during the Battle of Planets. In addition it's a very quick nail art, and now I'm always in the hurry and have no time for painting my nails. The result it's not what I expected from that but, huh, I hope you'll like it anyway! 
I'll have to try it again ^ ___ ^

I used as base a Flormar pastel blue, # 423, to suggest the colour of the sky. Then I put some drops of the 7 colours of the rainbow over an aluminum sheet and I dipped in the fan brush. I used about three colours per nail, and exactly:

Red:         Illamasqua Alarm
Orange:   Essie Capri
Yellow:    Butter London Cheeky Chops
Green:    Kiko 391Green Grass
Blue:       Kiko 336 Electric Blue
Purple:   Shaka Purple music
Indigo:    Barry M Indigo

And here is what it came out ...

Discontinued Day #12 - Kiko Holographic Nail polish # 399 Silky Taupe

Ciao fanciulle!!
Oggi è arrivato il giorno di rispolverare alcuni gioiellini ormai fuori produzione dai nostri cassetti: il Discontinued Day!
Un paio di estati fa la Kiko è uscita con una edizione di olografici linear in quattro colori. Oggi vi mostrerò il Silky Taupe, e poi in futuro vorrei completare anche con gli altri tre colori.
Coprente in due passate, eccolo in tutta la sua bellezza (senza top coat)  :-)

A couple of summers ago, Kiko launched a holographic linear LE in four colors. Today I'm going to show you # 399, Silky Taupe, and I hope some day to swatch the other colours too.

Rainbow Ladies 2.0 # 11 - Violet - Kiko 302 Orchidea Perlato + Pupa HolographicViolet #035

Buongiorno a tutte!!
La giornata di oggi è dedicata al viola. Questo è un altro dei miei colori smaltosi preferiti, e infatti ne ho di tutte le sfumature! Inizialmente avevo pensato a un holo, ma in questi giorni il tempo fa i capricci, e avevo paura di trovare solo nuvole. Ieri sera ho optato per un viola quasi metallico, il 302 della Kiko (ovviamente di Perlato non ha nulla, il suo finish è shimmer), di base rossa, davvero bellissimo.
All'ora di pranzo il sole ha fatto capolino, così ho deciso di approfittarne e stampare con uno smalto holo.
Ecco cosa ho usato:

Base viola: Kiko 302 Orchidea Perlato
Smalto per stamping: Pupa Holographic Violet # 035
Stamping Plate: Vivid Lacquer VL020
No Top coat



Good morning girls! 
Today is the violet day. This is another one of my favourite nail polish color, and I own so many purple bottles in my helmer! Firstly I wanted to pick up a holo, but the weather got crazy in these days. So yesterday night I choose an almost metallic violet, Kiko # 302, Pearly Orchid, which is not pearly at all. It's a red-based purple with a strong shimmer, so gorgeous!
At lunch time the sun showed up, and I decided to do some stamping.
Here's what I used:

Violet Base: Kiko # 302 Pearly Orchid
Stamping Nail polish: Pupa Holographic Violet # 035
Stamping Plate: Vivid Lacquer VL020

Rainbow Ladies 2.0 # 8 -Teal - Kiko Sugar Mat Nail Lacquer # 456 Teal Green

Buonasera figliole!!
Benvenute al  nuovo appuntamento con le Rainbow Ladies 2.0! Oggi ci aspetta uno dei nuovi colori che abbiamo introdotto quest'anno, il teal. In italiano è il color foglia di té, un bellissimo verde-azzurro, che è anche il mio colore smaltoso preferito!
Ho deciso di mostrarvelo sotto forma di un textured glitter della Kiko, il 456. Fa parte del set purtroppo ormai discontinued uscito lo scorso Natale e di cui vi avevo mostrato il Royal Blue.
Eccolo in due passate scorrevoli e veloci.

Welcome back to the Rainbow Ladies 2.0! Today we have one of the new colours introduced this year: teal. A beautiful blue-green, which is also my favourite nail polish colour! 
I chose a textured glitter, Kiko #456. It's part of the sadly discontinued Christmas set which came out last year. From this set I had shown you the Royal Blue.
Here it is in two quick and easy coats.

Rainbow Ladies 2.0 # 5 - Easter Colours - Kiko Cupcake 650 + 655

Ciao a tutte!!
Mancano due giorni a Pasqua e il tema della Rainbow di oggi sono i colori pasquali!
Ho scelto i due Kiko Cupcake che ho preso, anche perché mi piace come stanno insieme: sono il 650 Pesca e il 655 Menta. Fra l'altro in questo momento sono scontati a € 2,90 l'uno :-)
Ho steso due mani di Pesca su tutte le dita eccetto l'anulare, dove ho utilizzato il Menta, e poi ho messo un po' di pallini alternando i due colori.

It's almost Easter and today we explore the Easter Colours with our Rainbow 2.0!

I chose the two Kiko cupcake bought lately. I like them very much and I also like how they match together: 650 Peach and 655 Mint.

Furthermore now they are €2,90/each with a 40% discount.

I have put two coats of Peach on all fingers except the ring finger, where I used Mint, and then I put some dots here and there.

Rainbow Ladies 2.0 # 4 - Brown - Kiko 374 Cioccolato amaro perlato + layering con Essence nail colour3 Front row or backstage?

Buonasera figliole!!
Oggi l'arcobaleno si tinge di marrone. E, come avrete indovinato, fa parte dei colori bonus che abbiamo aggiunto quest'anno!
Il marrone non è uno dei miei colori preferiti per gli smalti. Spulciando nel mio stash ne ho trovati davvero pochi, e ancora meno così belli da fare Wow!
Alla fine ho preso un classico, ma pur sempre bellissimo, che mi ha pienamente convinto anche sulle unghie, il Kiko 374, Cioccolato amaro perlato.
Intanto è un marrone scurissimo, di base quasi nera, e io adoro gli scuri sulle unghie. In più ha uno shimmer marrone bellissimo e profondo che si vede molto bene al sole. Ultimo, ma non meno importante, ha una formula davvero ottima ed è molto pigmentato: ho dato due passate, ma potevo benissimo lasciarne solo una.

Today, the rainbow is brown. And, as you may have guessed, brown is one of the bonus colours that we have added this year! 

It isn't one of my favourite nail polish colours. Digging through my stash I found a few bottles, and not so astounding.

Finally I took a classic one, but still beautiful, and I fell in love with it: Kiko 374 Pearly Chocolate Noir.

First of all it's a very dark brown, almost black, and I love vampy nail polishes. In addition it has a beautiful, deep brown shimmer that looks so good in the sun. Last, but not least, it has a perfect formula and it's opaque in one-two coats.

Ho pensato di abbinarci uno smalto da layering, che fa parte del duo della Essence, purtroppo ormai fuori produzione, Front row or backstage? L'altro smalto è Ticket to the show.
Front row or backstage? è un tripudio di flakies color marrone-oro-bronzo. Guardate che bello, a me è piaciuto molto!!


I tried a layering nail polish over it, Front row or backstage? which is part of a discontinued Essence duo. The other polish of this duo is Ticket to the show. 
Front row or backstage? is full of brown-bronze-golden flakies. It's gorgeous, isn't it? I loved it!

Rainbow Ladies 2.0 # 2 - Red - Layla Gel Effect #06 stamped with Kiko Mirror # 619

Buongiorno a tutte!
Oggi è tornato il sole dopo una settimana di maltempo: yeah, festeggiamo!! E' anche il giorno delle Rainbow Ladies e va di scena il rosso!
Proprio a causa maltempo ho dovuto cambiare in corsa il mio progetto iniziale che prevedeva un holo per oggi. Prima o poi lo posterò comunque, non temete! Dunque ho deciso di provare uno stamping rosso su rosso. Le regole della Rainbow Ladies prevedono che ogni nail art debba essere monocromatica.
Ecco cosa ho utilizzato:

Base rossa:               Layla Gel Effect #06 Power Red
Smalto da stamping:  Kiko  Mirror Nail polish # 619 Rosso Peonia

Today the sun came out after a week of bad weather: yay ^___^

 The Rainbow Ladies 2.0 is back: it's the red day! 

Due to the bad weather I had to change the nail polish I had first in mind, which was a holo. Don't worry, sooner or later I'll post it anyway!

So I decided to try a stamping red over red. During the Rainbow Ladies 2.0 every nail art has to be monochromatic.

Here's what I used: 

Red Base:                      Layla Gel Effect #06 Power Red

Stamping nail polish:   Kiko Mirror Nail polish # 619 Red Peony 

Stamping plate:           Nailz Craze NC03 

Top Coat:                    Poshé Super-fast drying 

I'm in love with this Nailz Craze plate, and I'm so happy I've finally tried it!

Oggi vorrei mostrarvi la manicure che ho mandato alla carinissima Sara per il suo contest Something about me. Pensate che ha messo in palio un'intera collezione Essence che non arriverà mai da noi in Italia, la Superheroes!! Il tema del concorso è raccontare con una nail art qualcosa di noi.
Qualche giorno fa mi è venuto in mente che avrei potuto provare a disegnare sulle unghie un tatuaggio che ho sulla schiena e che mi accompagna dal lontano 1998. Si tratta di uno dei miei animali preferiti, il geco. All'epoca avevo trovato un'immagine che mi piaceva moltissimo e che lo ritraeva in stile tribale. Adesso è un po' scolorito, però sta sempre con me e sono ancora felice di averlo.
Ho deciso di disegnarlo su base azzurra, che è uno dei miei colori smaltosi preferiti, insieme al verde. Ho steso come base Kiko 340 (celeste), poi con il fan brush ho mixato bianco (Shaka Matt White), Kiko 385 (blu pastello) e Kiko 386 (azzurro pastello).
Il disegno del geco l'ho fatto a mano libera con acrilico nero e un pennellino. Ehm, come al solito sorvolate sul grado di precisione!!

Today I want to show you the manicure that I sent to the lovely Sara for her contest Something about me. The prize is the whole Essence LE Superheroes that will never come out here in Italy!
The theme of the contest is to tell something about us with a nail art .
A few days ago I had the idea that I could try to draw on my nails a tattoo which is on my back since 1998. 
It's one of my favourite animals'tattoo in tribal style. Now it's a bit faded , however, it's always with me and I'm still happy to have it.
I chose a blue base , which is one of my favorite nail polish colors, along with the green. 
I used as a base Kiko 340 (sky blue), then with a fan brush I mixed three colors: Shaka Matt white (white), Kiko 385 (pastel blue) and Kiko 386 (light pastel blue).
The drawing of the gecko is freehand with black acrilyc and a small brush. Um, as usual I haven't been so accurate!!
