EuRoPe Challenge # 8 - Netherlands - Da 107 + Hema 827

...e benvenute in Olanda!
Questa settimana vi mostrerò due degli smaltini che mi ha portato la mitica Silvia dall'Olanda l'anno scorso. I marchi sono entrambi olandesi, l'azzurro è un DA e il viola (leggermente duochrome) un Hema, e sono entrambi meravigliosi.
L'accostamento dei colori è un po' strano, ma il risultato mi è piaciuto un sacco! Per realizzare questa  nail art ho utilizzato degli stickers comodissimi a zig zag della Nails Redesigned.

This week I'll show you two nail polishes that my lovely friend Silvia brought to me last year from Amsterdam. Both brands are Dutch, the blue one is a DA and the purple one (slightly duochrome) is a Hema. They are both gorgeous!!

This colour mix is a bit strange, but I love the final result! I used some chevron nail vinyls from Nails Redesigned  for this nail art.

EuRoPe Challenge # 4 - Greece - Contrary Polish Santorini stamped in gold

Buonasera figliole!!
Il nostro giro europeo ci porta in Grecia, una terra che adoro e che ho nel cuore!! Lo sfondo del mio blog è una foto che ho scattato su una spiaggia greca qualche anno fa. Dopo esserci stata qualche volta soffro già di "mal della Grecia" e non vedo l'ora di tornarci!
La base per la manicure di oggi è ispirata al mare greco, e lo smalto è stato scelto apposta per il suo nome, Santorini!! Non è splendido? Un blu intenso pieno di flakies.
Ho deciso di fare uno stamping in stile greco con la fiaccola olimpica e qualche fregio dorato utilizzando la plate MoYou London Explorer Collection 09 e China Glaze Passion.
La qualità di queste plate è sorprendente: non pare anche a voi?
Quella delle foto un po' meno, purtroppo le ho scattate sotto l'acqua e un cielo cupo. Ormai siamo già in pieno Autunno!

Today we are in Greece. I love this country and a little piece of Greece is still in my heart!! The background of my blog is a picture that I took in a Greek beach some years ago. I miss it a lot and look forward to come back soon!
I chose my manicure base for its colour, inspired by the blue Aegean Sea, and by its  name, Santorini!! It's a gorgeous deep blue filled with flakies. 
I decided to stamp in greek style with the Olympic torch and some golden friezes using the plate MoYou London Explorer Collection 09 and China Glaze Passion. 
The quality of these plates is surprising, don't you think so? 
The quality of these pictures definitely not.  Unfortunately I took them under the rain and a dark sky. Welcome back rainy season!

Birthstone Challenge # 9 - Sapphire: Chresy #55

Ciao a tutte!!
Oggi torna la Birthstone Challenge e la pietra del mese di settembre è lo splendido zaffiro! Questa pietra blu, il cui colore può variare dall'azzurro all'indaco scuro, rappresenta storicamente la purezza dell'anima e durante il Medioevo proteggeva dai pensieri impuri.
Per rappresentarla ho scelto uno smalto dal colore blu profondo, il mio primo Chresy, e sono rimasta positivamente colpita dalla sua qualità!
Se lo si guarda da vicino si vede che la base scura è illuminata da una miriade di microflakes di un blu più chiaro, e alla luce del sole si intravedono anche dei riflessi violacei. E' coprentissimo, quasi un one coater, e si stende praticamente da solo! Unico difetto: la longevità, infatti ha cominciato a rovinarsi dal primo giorno, sob!
Nelle foto ho comunque dato due passate più top coat.

Today the Birthstone Challenge is back and the September stone is the beautiful sapphire! This blue stone, whose color can vary from a pale blue to a dark indigo, historically represents the purity of the soul and during the Middle Ages it protected from impure thoughts. 

I chose to represent it with a deep blue nail polish, my first Chresy, and I was greatly impressed by its quality! 

If you look closely you will see that its dark base is full of light blue microflakes, and in the sunlight are visible some purple flashes. Furthermore it's almost a one coater and so easy to apply! Unfortunately its longevity is very low. I saw some tipwear the first day!

Ecco a voi un Elevation Polish holo linear davvero spettacolare! Darkest Storm viene dalla Naughty By Nature Collection del Novembre 2013, ed è un "Blue, near navy holographic", dalla formula perfetta.
Due passate senza top coat nelle foto che seguono. Sapete già quanto ami gli EP, e il mio amore cresce al passare del tempo! Infatti ne vedrete ancora diversi qua sopra....

Discontinued Day #14 - Bottega Verde Opale Blu + Comparison con WJ Con 808

Buonasera a tutte!!
Mentre qua fuori si sta scatenando una delle solite bufere estive (estive?) io vi mostro un nuovo smaltino tirato fuori dall'helmer per l'occasione del Discontinued Day.
Dritto dritto dalla collezione natalizia di Bottega Verde, è un textured glitter di base blu scuro con una miriade di glitter viola e shimmer bronzo. E' uno smalto decisamente invernale, e infatti va benissimo per questa stagione :-D
Due passate e via!

While one of the usual summery storm (summer? Are we sure?) is breaking out I'm showing you an old nail polish for the New Discontinued Day.
Straight from the Christmas collection from Bottega Verde, Opale Blu is a dark blue textured glitter nail polish with some purple and brass flashes. It's a wintery nail polish, perfect for this season :-D

Vado matta per questo genere di colori! Infatti mi ricordava qualcosa....poteva assomigliare a uno dei WJCon provenienti dallo swap con GoldFrancine?
La risposta è sì. Ottimo, perché il WJCon, al contrario del Bottega Verde, si può trovare ancora!! ^^ Io, da  brava collezionista, sono felice di avere entrambe le boccette!!


I love this kind of colors! In fact it reminded me of something .... could it look like one of the WJCon from the swap with GoldFrancine? 
The answer is yes. Great, because the WJCon, unlike the Bottega Verde, isn't discontinued! ^ ^ 
I'm a collector, so I'm happy and proud to have both!

Discontinued Day #13 - Kiko Sun Pearl LE in # 428 River Green and #429 Blue Spot

Buonasera ragazze!!
Per il Discontinued Day di questo mese torno a mostrarvi dei Kiko della scorsa estate, e precisamente i due colori che mi mancava di swatchare della Sun Pearl LE. Il terzo che ho comprato è il  # 427 Amable Chartreuse.
River Green dalla boccetta era il mio preferito della collezione. Uno splendido verde foresta dal sottotono leggermente blu in una mare di glassflecks dorati, coprente in due passate.

For the July's Discontinued Day I'll show you two more Kiko from the discontinued last summer LE Sun Pearl. I bought a third one from this LE: #427 Amable Chartreuse. 
Green River was my favourite from the bottle. A beautiful pine green with a slightly blue undertone full of ​​golden glassflecks, covering in two coats.

Quando però ho indossato Blue Spot mi sono ricreduta: l'ho trovato molto più bello sulle unghie che in boccetta, ed è salito al pari merito con River Green come preferito della Sun Pearl.
E' quasi un one coater: se avete le unghie corte vi basterà una passata, se le avete lunghe con una seconda passata sottile siete a posto.
Uno splendido blu intriso di glass flecks argentee, ma più discrete di quelle dorate di River Green.



But when I wore Blue Spot I changed my mind.  I prefer it on my nails than in the bottle, and it's now a favourite for me!
It 's almost a one coater.  If you have short nails you need just one coat; I have longer nails and needed two thin coats.
It's a beautiful medium blue full of silver glassflecks, softer than River Green.

Rainbow Ladies 2.0 # 13 - Rainbow - Fan brush rainbow nail art

Buonasera figliole!!
Sembra incredibile, ma siamo arrivate alla fine della nostra challenge che ha ripreso i colori dell'arcobaleno.
Come l'anno scorso l'ultimo post è dedicato all'arcobaleno con i suoi 7 colori. Pensa che ripensa ho deciso di riprovare a usare un pennello che mi aveva dato discrete soddisfazioni durante la Battle of Planets, ossia il fan brush. Avendo pochissimo tempo in questo periodo, poteva essere la nail art ideale. Peccato che il risultato finale non sia stato proprio il massimo, pazienza: spero apprezzerete ugualmente! In ogni caso dovrò riprovarci ancora ^___^

Ho usato come base un celeste pastello della Flormar, il 423, a imitare il colore del cielo. Poi ho steso i 7 smalti dei 7 colori dell'iride su carta stagnola e ho intinto il fan brush usando circa tre colori per unghia sulla base celeste.
Ho usato:

rosso: Illamasqua Alarm
arancione: Essie Capri
giallo: Butter London Cheeky Chops
verde: Kiko 391Verde Erba
blu: Kiko 336 Blu elettrico
viola: Shaka Purple music
indaco: Barry M Indigo

It seems incredible, but that's the last Rainbow Ladies 2.0 day!
Like last year, the latest post is dedicated to the rainbow with its seven colours. I decided to try again the fan brush, which gave me so much fun during the Battle of Planets. In addition it's a very quick nail art, and now I'm always in the hurry and have no time for painting my nails. The result it's not what I expected from that but, huh, I hope you'll like it anyway! 
I'll have to try it again ^ ___ ^

I used as base a Flormar pastel blue, # 423, to suggest the colour of the sky. Then I put some drops of the 7 colours of the rainbow over an aluminum sheet and I dipped in the fan brush. I used about three colours per nail, and exactly:

Red:         Illamasqua Alarm
Orange:   Essie Capri
Yellow:    Butter London Cheeky Chops
Green:    Kiko 391Green Grass
Blue:       Kiko 336 Electric Blue
Purple:   Shaka Purple music
Indigo:    Barry M Indigo

And here is what it came out ...

Rainbow Ladies 2.0 # 9 -Blue - H & M Duo in Super Blue and Glitter Blue

Buonasera fanciulle!!
Stavolta mi sono ridotta proprio all'ultimo momento per pubblicare il mio contributo alla Rainbow Ladies 2.0, complice la stanchezza della settimana che si è accumulata tutta insieme! Per questo motivo sarò breve ^___^
Oggi vi mostro un duo di smalti che è giunto nelle mie mani grazie al secondo swap che ho fatto con la fantastica Silvia di Smaltomania!
Super Blue è un blu metallico acceso con un bellissimo shimmer, perfetto in due passate. Con questo blu non passerete inosservate!

Super Blue is a metallic bright blue with a beautiful shimmer, perfect in two coats. With this blue you won't go unnoticed!

Lo trovo davvero fantastico!!
Glitter Blue è una miriade di glitter finissimi immersi in una base trasparente, da passare sopra Super Blue.
Ho provato a mettere lo striping tape per una nail art geometrica, ma il contrasto fra i due smalti non è sufficiente, e non si vede quasi nulla. Pazienza, secondo me è bello lo stesso!


I find it gorgeous! 
Glitter Blue is full of blue microglitters in a clear base and it's supposed to be layered over Super Blue. I tried a simple nail art with a striping tape, but the contrast between the two colors isn't strong enough, and it's barely visible. I like it anyaway!

Discontinued Day #9 - Catrice L'Afrique, c'est chic LE in Rouge Bien Sûr, Quel Bleu Turquoise and Sunny Side

Buongiorno a tutte!
Oggi ritorna il Discontinued Day e io vi propongo una LE di smati textured di Catrice uscita la scorsa estate e di cui ho preso tre boccette.
Il primo che vi mostro è Rouge, Bien Sûr, un rosso medio dalla qualità sorprendente: un one coater! Sono presenti in tutta la collezione dei microgranuli che danno un po' di lucentezza in superficie.

The Discontinued Day is back and I chosed to show you a textured LE from Catrice which came out last summer. Here are my pics.
The first one is Rouge, Bien Sûr, a medium red with an amazing formula: a one coater! In the whole collection we find some micro-granules which enlighten the surface.

Il secondo è l'azzurro, Quel Bleu Turquoise: coprente in due passate, uno splendido azzurro molto estivo ^___^

Il terzo, Sunny Side,  è quello che mi è piaciuto di meno. Mi piace come colore, ma non sulle mie unghie :-D

Valentine's Day nails ft. Kiko 265 Blu China + KKcenterHK Shining Series Red 2mm Circle Nail Art Decorations

Ciao a tutte!
Mi sono arrivati dalla KKcenterHK dei glitter rossi 3D, troppo carini, quasi dei finti rubini in miniatura. Ecco il codice dei glitter, che potete trovare online sul loro sito: NNAIL - DRN818.
Ho pensato che sarebbe stato bello usarli per una nail art di San Valentino, ed ecco cosa ho preparato. E' una nail art davvero semplicissima, ma alla fine mi è piaciuto il risultato.

I received from KKcenterHK some red 3D glitters, too cute, almost tiny fake rubies. 
Here is the code of these glitters, that you can find online: NNAIL - DRN818. 
I thought it would be nice to use them for a Valentine's Day nail art, and here's what I have prepared. It's a really simple nail art, but in the end I liked the result.

Invece dei soliti colori rosa-rosso, ho pensato a un blu scuro come base, in questo caso il blu notte shimmer #265 della Kiko.


Instead of the usual pink-red, I choosed a dark blue as a base, in this case the midnight blue shimmer #265 by Kiko.

Solo sulla accent nail ho messo i glitter a formare un cuore rosso. Dopodiché ho steso uno strato di top coat.


Only on the accent nail I placed some glitters to create a red heart. Then I applied a coat of top coat.

Pensavo di perdere i glitter, invece, grazie al top coat, la manicure è rimasta intatta per tre giorni finché non ho cambiato smalto :-)

Siete pronte? Oggi con le mie amiche di avventura partiamo per un nuovo viaggio, una challenge ideata da Francine che ci porterà ogni venerdì nel nostro Giardino d'inverno.

Are you ready? Today with my nail mates we start a new journey, a challenge created by Francine that will take us every Friday to our Winter Garden.

Utilizzeremo solo smalti opachi con finish matte, suede, satin o textured, ma senza glitter. In più ogni settimana potremo scegliere di realizzare una nail art con un tema scelto da una di  noi.
Il tema di questa settimana l'ha scelto Silvia, ed è l'inverno.
Ho deciso di stampare dei fiocchi di neve bianchi su una base azzurra e poi ho steso un top coat matte (che penso userò molto spesso per questa challenge :-) ) per opacizzare il tutto.
Ecco cosa ho usato:

Base azzurra:             Layla Ceramic Effect CE66
Smalto per stamping: Konad white
Stamping plate:         Vivid Lacquer VL006
Top coat:                  Butter London Matte finish Shine Free Topcoat



We'll only use nail polishes with the following finish: matte, suede, satin or textured, but without glitter. In addition, each week we have a theme for an optional nail art, chosen by one of us.
Today's theme is the winter, and it has been chosen by Silvia. 
I decided to print some white snowflakes on a blue base and then I put a coat of a matte top coat (which I think I'll use very often for this challenge :-)).
Here's what I used:

Blue base:                          Layla Ceramic Effect CE66
Nail polish for Stamping:  Konad white
Stamping plate:                 Vivid Lacquer VL006
Top coat:                           Butter London Matte Finish Shine Free Topcoat

Battle of Planets # 14 - Comets

Buongiorno a tutte!!
Oggi è l'ultimo appuntamento con la Battle of Planets!! Questa bella avventura spaziale ci ha accompagnato per ben 14 settimane, e sembra proprio che siano volate ^^
A noi piace terminare in bellezza, e così abbiamo organizzato per oggi una bella pioggia di stelle comete!

Per la manicure di oggi ho voluto sulle mie unghie un cielo stellato. La base l'avevo già utilizzata qua, è Cirque Tibetan Nights, ma mi piace così tanto che oggi è diventato lui il protagonista. Per le stelle (cometa compresa)  ho utilizzato la plate NC02 di Nailz Craze e il mio fido argento A-England Excalibur.
In più ho aggiunto una stellina.

Today ends our Battle of Planets! This beautiful space adventure has been with us for 14 weeks and it seems to me that it has just started!!

We like to finish with a flourish, and so for today we have arranged a nice comets shower!

For today's manicure I wanted on my nails a starry sky. I had already used the base here, it's Cirque Tibetan Nights. I think it's the best glitter jelly dark blue in my stash! For the stars (comet included) I used the plate Nailz Craze NC02 and my trusty silver A-England Excalibur.

In addition, I added a little star.
