Holothon 2.0 - # 12 :Mentality Bang

Buonasera a tutte!
Avevo altri programmi per oggi, ma questa settimana il sole non si è quasi mai fatto vedere, e così ho scelto delle foto fatte un po' di tempo fa.
Bang è un bellissimo holo nero con un forte shimmer ramato che si vede soprattutto all'ombra. Purtroppo le foto le avevo scattate tutte al sole, e questo shimmer ramato non è uscito, ma posso comunque dirvi che dà a questo smalto quel qualcosa in più che lo rende unico!

I had other plans for today, but this week the sun didn't show up here, and so I chose some old swatches.
Bang is a beautiful black holo with a strong coppery shimmer that can be seen especially in the shade. Unfortunately I took only pictures in the sun, and this copper shimmer didn't come out, but I can tell you that it gives to this nail polish that little extra that makes it unique!

Il finish è semi-satinato: in questo ricorda suo fratello Legislate.
Cosa ne pensate? Vi piace? A me è piaciuto moltissimo, l'ho già indossato due volte quest'estate!

Discontinued Day #4 - Illamasqua Shrapnel - Illamasqua Strike

Buongiorno a tutte!!
Dopo un mese di pausa estiva torna il Discontinued Day dedicato a smalti e make up fuori produzione!! Oggi vi propongo due Illamasqua, marchio inglese che amo molto e che purtroppo adesso è diventato di difficile reperibilità!
Il primo è Shrapnel, un metallico ramato che ha in superficie una spolverata di particelle shimmer argento: a me è piaciuto molto!!
Formula ottima, opacità in due passate, e non ho avuto grossi problemi di segni di pennellate, come spesso accade per i metallici.

After the summer break the DDay, dedicated to discontinued nail polishes and make up,  is back again! Today I'm showing you two Illamasqua, a British brand that I love very much and which unfortunately now it's hard to find in Italy!
The first is Shrapnel, a metallic copper with a silver sparkle: I liked it a lot!
Excellent formula, it needs two coats to reach a good coverage and the brushstrokes aren't so noticeable.

Il secondo è un turchese, anche lui dal finish metallico: come non amarlo? Devo avere n smalti simili di questo colore, ma non mi stanca mai ^___^
Anche qua due passate e nessun problema da segnalare!
Ho usato un top coat per entrambi.


The second one is a turquoise, another metallic: isn't it gorgeous? I must have so many nail polishes with this color, but I never get tired ^____^
Even here two coats and no problems to report!
I've used a top coat for both.

Twinsie Friday - Holothon: Cirque Cypress + comparison

Buongiorno!!
Il tempo è volato questa settimana, e mi trovo a venerdì senza neanche rendermene conto!! Per l'appuntamento di oggi ho scelto un Cirque, brand indie americano dalle creazioni davvero bellissime!! Cypress viene dalla collezione Objet d'Art ed è un holo linear color rame: colore super originale, vero?
La formula è molto molto particolare: al contrario della maggior parte degli holo linear questo ha una formula molto liquida che scorre davvero bene. Purtroppo è anche molto trasparente: quello nelle foto è il risultato di tre passate abbondanti.
Perdonate la qualità delle foto e delle mie unghie, ma ho dovuto utlizzare la mano destra per problemi di fragilità e rottura di unghie della mia swatching hand :-(

Time has flown by this week, it's Friday and I didn't even realize that! 

For today I chose a nail polish from Cirque, an American indie brand whose creations are really beautiful! Cypress comes from the Objet d'Art collection and it's a copper linear holo: this color is  so unique, isn't it?

Its formula is very unique too: it's very liquid with no application problems. Unfortunately it's also very sheer. I applied three coats in the following pictures.

Please forgive the quality of these pictures and my nails, but I had to use my right hand because I broke some nails of my swatching hand. :-(

Quando ho comprato Cosmic Fate di Color Club della collezione degli Halo Hues, ho visto che in boccetta sembrava quasi uguale a Cypress! Finalmente ho fatto una comparison e ho scoperto che, nonostante siano molto simili, non sono dupes! Cosmic Fate è più rosato e la pigmentazione più decisa, mentre Cypress è più delicato, inoltre Cosmic Fate nelle foto è un one coater!! Quindi, a meno che non siate vere e proprie polish-aholic, se avete Cosmic Fate non avete bisogno di Cypress. Io però sono contenta di avere entrambi!! :-)



From the bottle Cypress is so close to Cosmic Fate, one of the Halo Hues from Color Club, that I thought they were dupes! Finally I did a comparison and I found out that, although they're very similar, they aren't dupes! Cosmic Fate is more pinkish and its pigmentation is stronger, while Cypress is more delicate. Note that Cosmic Fate is a one coater! So, unless you are a true polish-aholic, if you have Cosmic Fate you don't need Cypress. But I am glad to have both! :-)
