Rainbow Ladies 2.0 # 13 - Rainbow - Fan brush rainbow nail art

Buonasera figliole!!
Sembra incredibile, ma siamo arrivate alla fine della nostra challenge che ha ripreso i colori dell'arcobaleno.
Come l'anno scorso l'ultimo post è dedicato all'arcobaleno con i suoi 7 colori. Pensa che ripensa ho deciso di riprovare a usare un pennello che mi aveva dato discrete soddisfazioni durante la Battle of Planets, ossia il fan brush. Avendo pochissimo tempo in questo periodo, poteva essere la nail art ideale. Peccato che il risultato finale non sia stato proprio il massimo, pazienza: spero apprezzerete ugualmente! In ogni caso dovrò riprovarci ancora ^___^

Ho usato come base un celeste pastello della Flormar, il 423, a imitare il colore del cielo. Poi ho steso i 7 smalti dei 7 colori dell'iride su carta stagnola e ho intinto il fan brush usando circa tre colori per unghia sulla base celeste.
Ho usato:

arancione: Essie Capri
giallo: Butter London Cheeky Chops
verde: Kiko 391Verde Erba
blu: Kiko 336 Blu elettrico
viola: Shaka Purple music
indaco: Barry M Indigo

It seems incredible, but that's the last Rainbow Ladies 2.0 day!
Like last year, the latest post is dedicated to the rainbow with its seven colours. I decided to try again the fan brush, which gave me so much fun during the Battle of Planets. In addition it's a very quick nail art, and now I'm always in the hurry and have no time for painting my nails. The result it's not what I expected from that but, huh, I hope you'll like it anyway! 
I'll have to try it again ^ ___ ^

I used as base a Flormar pastel blue, # 423, to suggest the colour of the sky. Then I put some drops of the 7 colours of the rainbow over an aluminum sheet and I dipped in the fan brush. I used about three colours per nail, and exactly:

Red:         Illamasqua Alarm
Orange:   Essie Capri
Yellow:    Butter London Cheeky Chops
Green:    Kiko 391Green Grass
Blue:       Kiko 336 Electric Blue
Purple:   Shaka Purple music
Indigo:    Barry M Indigo

Giardino d'inverno # 10 - Vintage roses

Buongiorno a tutte!!!
Sembra incredibile che siamo arrivate all'ultimo appuntamento con il Giardino d'Inverno!! Ed è anche stato il primo inverno quasi senza neve e con pochissimo ghiaccio da quando abito nella Pianura Padana (e sono 10 anni quest'anno)!
Per festeggiare questa primavera in anticipo ho deciso di onorare il tema di oggi, che è quello floreale suggerito dalla nostra Silvia, con dei colori brillanti: fucsia, bianco e verde!
Ho anche pensato di utilizzare la mia tecnica preferita, che ormai saprete anche voi, è lo stamping! Ma, con una piccola aggiunta. Ho usato due colori per stampare, uno principalmente per i petali delle rose, e l'altro per le foglie, anche se poi si sono mischiati insieme, come doveva essere.
Il risultato mi ha ricordato delle rose un po' vintage, da cui il titolo.

It seems incredible that today is the last Winter Garden Day! It has been also the first winter with almost no snow and very little ice here in the Po Valley since I moved from Tuscany 10 years ago!
Today's theme has been suggested by the lovely Silvia, and it's Flowers. I decided to celebrate this early spring with bright colors: fuchsia, white and green.
I also used my favorite technique , which is the stamping! But, with a little addition. 
I used two stamping nail polishes, one primarily for the petals of the roses, and the other for the leaves, even if they are mixed together, as it should be.
The result reminded me some vintage roses, hence the title.

Battle of Planets # 7 - Asteroids: Essie Steel-ing the scene

Buongiorno a tutte!!
Oggi post programmato: ho approfittato del week end lungo per andare al Lago di Ledro con tutta la famiglia! La Battaglia dei Pianeti si combatte comunque ^^ : pioggia di asteroidi sui nostri blog e il colore dominante sarà il grigio!
Lo smalto che ho scelto mi convinceva più dalla boccetta che sulle unghie. Viene da una vecchia collezione della Essie, addirittura Inverno 2007; è un chrome color acciaio dai sottotoni gialli. Opaco in due passate, si vedono un po' di brushstrokes, ma neanche troppo!

Today scheduled post. This week we have a long week end, so I decided to pack two or three clothes and go to the Ledro Lake with my family! For our Battle of Planets today we'll see an asteroid shower on our blogs and the main color is grey!
I chose a polish that is better from the bottle than on the nails. It comes from an old Essie collection, Winter 2007, and it's a chrome steel with yellow undertones. Opaque in two coats, with not so much brushstrokes ^^

Da solo però non mi convince molto, quindi ho pensato di "abbellirlo" con una nail art. Questo grigio non mi ha ispirato molto a dir la verità: un po' di fail ed ecco cosa mi è uscito.
Ho fatto una gradient con il Layla Magneffect # 01 Black metal touch sulle punte e poi ho aggiunto il top coat glitterato Froze to Death di Elevation Polish (ottimo per nail art invernali! :-) ). Cosa ve ne pare?



I don't like it very much on its own, so I decided to try a nail art. After a few fails I came up with this one. 
I did a gradient with Layla Magneffect # 01 Black metal touch on the tips and then I added the glitter top coat Froze to Death by Elevation Polish (great for a winter nail art :-)). What do you think about it?

Discontinued Day #5 - Lush Lacquer discontinued: Thanks a latte, Tropical kisses and Perky plum

Ciao a tutte!!
Vediamo se il DDay riesce a colorare un po' queste giornate così tristi e piovose!
Oggi ho tirato fuori dal mio helmer tre Lush Lacquer che avevo comprato l'anno scorso più o meno in questo periodo. Torna bene perché, a parte Tropical kisses (l'unico che sono riuscita a swatchare al sole), sono tutti colori autunnali!
Il primo che vi mostro è Thanks a latte. Dentro c'è un mix pazzesco di glitter: guardando nella boccetta vedo piccoli glitterini azzurri e marroni esagonali, glitter medi azzurri esagonali matte, glitter bianchi quadrati di varie dimensioni, romboidali e a barretta. Il tutto è sospeso in una base colorata color cioccolato al latte, ma secondo me è preferibile usare una base colorata sotto. Ho steso due strati di Thanks a latte sopra Essie Hot coco. Devo dire che questo mi è piaciuto indosso molto più di quello che credevo! Il marrone insieme all'azzurro e al bianco stanno benissimo e i glitter danno profondità all'insieme.

Today I pulled out of my helmer three Lush Lacquer that I bought last year more or less in this period. Good choice because, apart from Tropical kisses (the only one that I could swatch under the sunlight), they are all Fall colors!

The first is Thanks a latte. Inside there is a crazy mix of glitters: looking in the bottle, I see small blue and brown exagonal glitters, medium blue matte exagonal glitters, white square glitters of different sizes, diamond-shaped and bars. The whole is suspended in a sheer milk chocolate base, and I think it's better to use an undie. I have put two coats of Thanks a latte over Essie Hot coco. I must say that I liked wearing it a lot more than I thought! Brown with blue and white match perfectly together and the mix of glitters gives depth to the polish.

Il secondo è Tropical kisses, l'estivo del trio ^^ E' un mix di glitterini verdi, gialli, rosa e fuxia in una base color lime semitrasparente. Anche questo necessita di una base sotto, e ho scelto Aciiied di Models Own per rendere tutto ancora più verde acido! :-)



The second one is Tropical kisses, the summery of the trio ^ ^ It's a mix of green, yellow, pink and fuchsia glitters in a lime-colored semi-sheer base. This also requires an undie, and I chose Aciiied from Models Own to make it even more acid green! :-)

L'ultimo che vi mostro è il mio preferito, Perky plum. Il più scuro di tutti, il più luccicante; l'accostamento dei colori lo trovo fantastico! E' un mix di glitter teal, oro e prugna in una base color prugna semitrasparente. I glitter sono tutti metallici e ce ne sono di grandi, piccoli, esagonali e a barretta, e nella base è sospesa anche una miriade di particelle argentate che danno un effetto shimmer all'insieme. Ho dato un paio di passate sopra Essie Carry on.


The last one is my favourite, Perky plum. The darkest, the shinier. I found the color combination really gorgeous! It's a mix of teal, gold and plum glitters in a plum semi-sheer base. In this base is suspended also an infusion of micro iridescent silver that gives to the polish a shimmer effect. I put two coats over Essie Carry on.

Today some summer rainstorms have reduced the heat wave of these days! But my thoughts go to the sea and the next holidays... The idea for this submarine nail art was born thanks to the amazing Francesca.  I had a lot of fun doing it!
I got the inspiration  from this nail art made by Top Coat it. Brush, dotting tool, and that's it!

Twinsie Friday - Holothon: Darling Diva Dreamy

Ciao a tutte!!
Da oggi per qualche settimana vorrei mostrarvi un po' di holo indie per la Holothon del venerdì, quasi tutti comprati in Europa, yeppa!!
Parto con Dreamy di Darling Diva, che è in realtà un top coat olografico linear, e secondo me è veramente spettacolare! Se vi siete chieste come sarebbe in versione olografica il vostro bel rosso lampone o verde smeraldo, questa può essere una possibilità di vederlo!!
Sopra uno smalto scuro risalta molto di più rispetto a un chiaro, per questo ho scelto come base un blu scurissimo polveroso, Bobbing for Baubles della Essie e un viola a base rossa con shimmer blu, Denali di Elevation Polish.
Ho steso una passata di Dreamy su tutte le dita escluso l'anulare per farvi vedere come cambia la base e il super effetto holo. Non ho usato top coat.

For the next weeks I would like to show you some indie holo for the Friday Holothon. I bought almost all of them in Europe, so no customs problems!
The first one is  Dreamy by Darling Diva, which is actually a linear holographic top coat, and I think it's truly amazing! If you've wondered how it would be in a holographic version your beautiful raspberry red or emerald green nail polish, this could be a chance to see it!
It stands out over a dark base, so I chose a very dark dusty blue undie, Bobbing For Baubles from Essie and a reddish shimmer purple, Denali by Elevation Polish.
I have put one coat of Dreamy on all fingers except the ring finger to let you see how it changes the base and also its gorgeous holo effect. No top coat in these pictures.

Ho rischiato di non partecipare: questo tema non riusciva a far scattare nessun clic alla mia ispirazione, finché non ho pensato: perché non fare una manicure ispirata al Cinco de Mayo, dato che ci siamo anche vicini come data? Posso fare delle unghie messicane ^___^
E da lì è scattata l'ispirazione!! Ho trovato un'immagine e l'ho tradotta in termini di nail art:

Floral manicure for spring!

Ciao ragazze!
Stasera vi mostrerò la manicure che posterò per il Crumpet Amateur Nail Art Contest - April aperto a tutti i blog con meno di 100 followers con un tema fisso che questo mese è quello dei fiori! Le votazioni partono dal 18 aprile direttamente sul sito.
Non ho assolutamente chissà quali aspirazioni, ma queste occasioni mi muovono a fare qualcosina in più, altrimenti la mia pigrizia avrebbe il sopravvento ^___^
Per la base ho spugnato un bel po' di pastelli su base bianca: giallo, rosa, verde menta, celeste e lilla.
Sopra ho applicato i fiorellini con un dotting tool e messo qualche perlina argentata per le corolle.

Tonight I'll show you the manicure that I will post for the Amateur Crumpet Nail Art Contest - April. It's open to all blogs with less than 100 followers with a fixed theme. The april theme is flowers! Voting start from April 18th on Crumpet web site.
These occasions are important for me because they push me to do something more than usual, otherwise my laziness would prevail ^ ___ ^
For the base I sponged a lot of pastels on a white base: yellow, pink, mint green, sky blue and lilac.
I applied some little flowers with a dotting tool and put some silver beads for the petals.

Polish Days - Vintage

Oggi è il giorno di Polish Days. Ho scoperto questa iniziativa grazie a Simona di Light Your Nails il mese scorso; ho visto che è aperto a tutti e così ho deciso di buttarmi e partecipare anch'io! In fondo, perché no? Così oggi sperimenterò la versione bilingue del blog, che potrebbe anche diventare definitiva ^___^
Il tema dei Polish Days di questo mese è il vintage, in tutte le sue espressioni: siamo quindi libere di interpretarlo a piacimento.

Mi sono guardata un sacco di immagini su internet: alla fine ho trovato questo tutorial che mi è sembrato carino, e l'ho reinterpretato con dei colori che m'ispiravano una vecchia tappezzeria.

I looked at a lot of images on google: at the end I found this tutorial which I thought was cute, and I reinterpreted it with colours that inspired me an old tapestry.

Essie Lady Like + Essence Time for Romance

Ciao a tutte!!
Come state? In questo periodo arrivo alla sera che sono sempre stanchissima: avevo le foto pronte già da ieri sera, ma non ce l'ho proprio fatta, e ho rimandato a stamattina! Sarà la stanchezza della fine dell'inverno: qua c'è proprio voglia di primavera! Fortuna che oggi è uscito il sole, dopo giorni e giorni di neve!@____@
Lo smalto che vi mostro è un palette cleanser, un colore neutro che considero quasi un nude, ma che alla fine mi è piaciuto molto di più di quello che credevo: Lady Like della Essie, comprato sull'onda dell'entusiasmo che avevo avuto per la collezione Autunno-Inverno 2011. E' un rosa-grigio dal finish creme, opaco in due passate, e molto portabile. Purtroppo niente sole nelle foto!

Il giorno dopo sopra Lady Like ho messo un topper della Essence veramente strepitoso secondo me, il Time for Romance: tantissimi glitter finissimi di una tonalità che va dal marrone al rosato intervallati da alcuni glitter esagonali un po' più grossi, e nella base alcuni glitter holo quasi impercettibili che danno ulteriore luminosità allo smalto. Io ho dato una sola passata e un paio di passate di top coat per livellare la superficie.

Purtroppo non so se sono riuscita a dare l'idea di quanto sia bello, ma secondo me è un must have per le amanti dei glitter ^____^

ABC Challenge X - Xmas tree

Buongiorno a tutte!!
Settimana di preparativi questa: domani c'è l'ultimo giorno di scuola, ieri i bambini hanno cantato le canzoni natalizie, e noi ci prepariamo per partire per la montagna. Staremo via qualche giorno, i prossimi post li scriverò da là e ho già scattato tutte le foto (fra i preparativi infatti c'erano anche i preparativi per la challenge!). Oggi tocca alla X, e per la prima volta in questa challenge non ho nessuno smalto che cominci con questa lettera. Perché non fare una nail art allora? Ho preso la mia decisione qualche settimana fa quando ho visto un tutorial di Pshiiit che mi ha definitivamente convinto: quello per il piccolo albero di Natale. Beh, dopo Pshiiit quest'alberino l'ho visto in tutte le forme e colori possibili in rete, quindi non è più così originale, ma io vi darò la mia versione personale.

L'albero è venuto storto :-(( ...A mia difesa posso dire che anche l'albero di Natale di casa mia è abbastanza storto, quindi quello sull'unghia è piuttosto realistico!! (In casa abbiamo un cane, un gatto e due bambini, quindi c'è una ragione se è storto :-)) )
