Twinsie Friday - Holothon: Hits Speciallità No Olimpo Atena

Ciao a tutte!!
Mi piange il cuore, ma oggi è l'ultimo appuntamento con la Holothon. Devo dire che fra tutte le collaborazioni fatte finora questa è quella che ha fatto più stragi nelle wish list, è vero o no? :-)
Ma non preoccupatevi, ci sono sempre nuovi progetti in vista!
Per oggi ho scelto l'ultimo smalto che avevo ancora da swatchare dalla mia collezione No Olimpo della Hits, Atena, un bellissimo fuchsia holo linear!!
Come i suoi fratelli ha una formula fantastica, si stende perfettamente senza bisogno di basi speciali, e volendo si può aggiungere un top coat (come ho fatto io nelle foto) senza diminuire l'effetto holo. Due passate per una coprenza ottimale, ma è comunque molto pigmentato.
Guardate che bello quando diventa azzurro-violaceo grazie all'effetto holo!

I'm too sad, because today is the last Holothon day. I must say that these twin posts were those that made more damages in our wishlists, is it true or not? :-)
But don't worry, there are always new projects in sight!
For today I chose the last nail polish that I had yet to swatch from my Hits No Olimpo Collection, Atena, a beautiful fuchsia linear holo!
Like his brothers it has a fantastic formula, it applies perfectly without a special bases. If you want you can add a top coat (as I did in the pics below) without diminishing the holo properties. Two coats for an optimal coverage, but it's very pigmented.
For me it's beautiful when it becomes blue-violet due to the holo effect!

Twinsie Friday - Holothon: Different Dimension Black Dahlia

Ciao a tutte!
L'autunno si è pericolosamente avvicinato questa settimana, molto più di quello che pensavo....Fortunatamente un po' di sole per le foto c'è stato, ma è calato un freddo gelido....brrrr!!
Oggi è il penultimo appuntamento con la Holothon, e lo dico con un po' di tristezza, dato che tutti questi colori mettono il buonumore quando li si indossa! Ho scelto un holo della Different Dimension: fortunatamente anche questi si possono trovare in Europa da Edgy Polish. Black Dahlia è un holo scattered grigio antracite con dello shimmer viola che si vede soprattutto in ombra, e in più dei glitterini azzurri! Siccome sono amante sia dei glitter che degli esperimenti un po' strani, mi sono buttata sull'acquisto, e devo dire che lo trovo molto bello sulle unghie!
Nella prima foto ci sono due mani senza top coat.

Fall has been dangerously close this week, much more than I thought .... Fortunately I've had a little bit of sunshine for taking my pictures, but now it's freezing! Brrrr!
Next week there will be the last day of the Holothon, and I say this with a little bit of sadness. Holos make me happy when I wear them! Today I chose a Different Dimension: luckily they can be found in Europe from Edgy Polish. Black Dahlia is a scattered charcoal grey holo with a purple shimmer that can be seen especially in shade, and it's full of blue glitters! I love holos, glitters and all the weird experiments made with nail polishes, so I couldn't resist to buy it.  I must say that I find it very beautiful on the nails!
In the first picture there are two coats without top coat.

Poi ho scosso la boccetta e ho messo su un altro strato per farvi vedere com'è quando è pieno di glitterini.


Then I shook the bottle and I put another coat to let you see how it is when it's full of glitters.

Twinsie Friday - Holothon: Cirque Cypress + comparison

Buongiorno!!
Il tempo è volato questa settimana, e mi trovo a venerdì senza neanche rendermene conto!! Per l'appuntamento di oggi ho scelto un Cirque, brand indie americano dalle creazioni davvero bellissime!! Cypress viene dalla collezione Objet d'Art ed è un holo linear color rame: colore super originale, vero?
La formula è molto molto particolare: al contrario della maggior parte degli holo linear questo ha una formula molto liquida che scorre davvero bene. Purtroppo è anche molto trasparente: quello nelle foto è il risultato di tre passate abbondanti.
Perdonate la qualità delle foto e delle mie unghie, ma ho dovuto utlizzare la mano destra per problemi di fragilità e rottura di unghie della mia swatching hand :-(

Time has flown by this week, it's Friday and I didn't even realize that! 

For today I chose a nail polish from Cirque, an American indie brand whose creations are really beautiful! Cypress comes from the Objet d'Art collection and it's a copper linear holo: this color is  so unique, isn't it?

Its formula is very unique too: it's very liquid with no application problems. Unfortunately it's also very sheer. I applied three coats in the following pictures.

Please forgive the quality of these pictures and my nails, but I had to use my right hand because I broke some nails of my swatching hand. :-(

Quando ho comprato Cosmic Fate di Color Club della collezione degli Halo Hues, ho visto che in boccetta sembrava quasi uguale a Cypress! Finalmente ho fatto una comparison e ho scoperto che, nonostante siano molto simili, non sono dupes! Cosmic Fate è più rosato e la pigmentazione più decisa, mentre Cypress è più delicato, inoltre Cosmic Fate nelle foto è un one coater!! Quindi, a meno che non siate vere e proprie polish-aholic, se avete Cosmic Fate non avete bisogno di Cypress. Io però sono contenta di avere entrambi!! :-)



From the bottle Cypress is so close to Cosmic Fate, one of the Halo Hues from Color Club, that I thought they were dupes! Finally I did a comparison and I found out that, although they're very similar, they aren't dupes! Cosmic Fate is more pinkish and its pigmentation is stronger, while Cypress is more delicate. Note that Cosmic Fate is a one coater! So, unless you are a true polish-aholic, if you have Cosmic Fate you don't need Cypress. But I am glad to have both! :-)

Twinsie Friday - Holothon: Fnug Psychedelic

Ciao a tutte!!!
Eccomi tornata dalle vacanze dopo due settimane di assenza dal blog! In piena forma, sono pronta a riprendere in mano il blog regolarmente, e devo ammettere che un po' mi è mancato!! :-)
L'holo che vi presento oggi è uno Fnug, brand danese che è saltato in primo piano su tutti i nail blog l'anno scorso perché ha lanciato una linea di olografici dall'effetto davvero sparafleshante, uno dei più forti in assoluto. Sull'onda del successo degli Fnug non ho resistito a prenderne uno, e così ecco l'argento.
Più che argento sembra quasi che ci sia un unico arcobaleno che percorre tutta l'unghia, è davvero favoloso al sole!
Come potrete immaginare la formula è difficoltosa: necessitate di aqua base, e, per essere sicura ho usato la tecnica "sandwich": una mano di aqua base, una di smalto, una di aqua base e un'ultima di smalto. Alla fine il risultato è perfetto: peccato che abbia anche il difetto di scheggiarsi prestissimo, ma glielo possiamo perdonare, perchè è davvero bello!!

I'm back from the holidays after two weeks of absence from the blog! In good shape, I'm ready to take up the blog regularly, and I must admit that I missed it a bit! :-)
Today I'm showing you a Fnug, a Danish brand that last year jumped on top of all nail blogs because it has launched a line of holographic polises with an amazing holo effect, one of the strongest ever. Following the success of Fnug I couldn't resist to buy one, and so here it is, the silver one.
More than silver it seems that there's a hole rainbow covering the entire nail. It's really gorgeous under the sunlight!
As you can guess it's difficult to apply: you need an aqua base. Furthermore I used the "sandwich" technique: a coat of aqua base, a coat of nail polish, a coat of aqua base and a final coat of nail polish. The end result is perfect.  Sadly it chips very fast, but we can forgive it because it's so beautiful!!

Twinsie Friday - Holothon: Glitter Gal Code Red

Buongiorno a tutte!!
Ultimo mio post prima delle vacanze!! Purtroppo non ce l'ho fatta a programmare il prossimo venerdì, quindi ci rileggeremo fra due settimane...
Per il post di oggi ho scelto un bellissimo holo rosso linear! Io amo moltissimo gli holo rossi, ma proprio rossi rossi, eh! E anche di questo colore non se ne trovano molti in giro....questo qua è australiano, non ha un effetto holo sconvolgente, però è lo stesso molto evidente, e dalla sua ha una formula strepitosa. Praticamente si stende da solo e non ha bisogno di una base speciale! Due passate in foto.

My last post before holidays! Unfortunately I didn't manage to plan next Friday's post, so I'll be there in two weeks ...
For today's post I chose a beautiful red linear holo! I love very much red holos, but it has to be a real  red one! And they aren't so easy to find .... This is Australian, it hasn't got a shocking holo effect, but it's evident enough. The good thing is that it has an amazing formula. It's so easy to apply and it doesn't  need any special base! Two coats in the pictures.

Twinsie Friday: Holothon - Literary Lacquers More Like Fire Than Light

Buongiorno a tutte e buon venerdì!
Per l'appuntamento di oggi della Holothon ho pensato a un colore super estivo che dovrebbe andare splendidamente in questi giorni: un bellissimo arancio holo linear!
Fa parte della The Good Parts Collection della Literary Lacquers ispirata alla letteratura erotica: More Fire Than Light s'ispira al Delta di Venere di Anaïs Nin.
L'ho preso per il suo colore: non se ne trovano molti di arancioni olografici, e questo mi sembrava particolarmente brillante, intenso e quasi tridimensionale :-))
E' abbastanza sheer, così ho provato a stenderlo su una base nude. Da solo vuole almeno tre passate, ma la formula è ottima e non ci sono assolutamente problemi nell'applicazione!

For today I choose a bright and summery color which is perfect for these days: a beautiful orange linear holo!
It's part of the Literary Lacquers The Good Parts Collection inspired by the erotic literature: More Fire Than Light is inspired by the Delta of Venus by Anais Nin.
I bought it for its color: I haven't found many holographic orange, and this seemed to me particularly bright, intense and almost three-dimensional :-))
It's quite sheer, so I tried to put it over a nude base. It needs at least three coats on its own, but its formula is great and there are absolutely no problems with the application!

Twinsie Friday - Holothon: Layla Hologram Effect #06 Mermaid Spell

Ciao a tutte!!
Prima di cominciare a parlare dell'holo di questa settimana, volevo festeggiare con voi perché questa settimana ho raggiunto i 50 followers!! Per il mio piccolo blog che non ha neanche un anno di vita è un risultato grandissimo: lo devo tutto a voi che avete avuto la pazienza di leggermi e mi avete dato l'entusiasmo, la spinta e tutto il supporto per andare avanti: GRAZIE!!!!

Per questo venerdì avevo voglia di indossare qualcosa di sparafleshoso. I Layla non hanno bisogno di presentazione, e hanno la fama di avere uno degli effetti holo più strabilianti mai visti sulle unghie! Beh, il mio Mermaid Spell, il celeste della famiglia degli Hologram Effect, ha mantenuto le sue promesse, e anche di più!! Ragazze, almeno una volta nella vita (ma io ne consiglio molte molte di più :-) ), dovete provare a vedere che arcobaleni è in grado di creare!!

Before talking about the holo polish of this week, I want to celebrate with you because this week I have reached a milestone: 50 followers! For my little blog which is less than a year old it's a great result! Thank you for giving me all the support, the help, the passion to go on!

For this Friday I wanted to wear a polish with a crazy holo effect. Layla doesn't need any introduction. I've seen some amazing pictures of its Hologram Effect line and well, my Mermaid Spell, the sky blue one of this line, has kept his promises, and more! Girls, at least once in your life (but I do recommend many many more :-)), you have to try to wear these rainbows!

Twinsie Friday - Holothon: Foxy Paws I'm Blue + comparison

Ciao a tutte!!
Finalmente venerdì!! Siete sopravvissute all'ondata di caldo che sta invadendo la nostra penisola? Io sto sopravvivendo, ma caldo, afa e umidità mi stanno togliendo tutte le energie :-(
Per oggi ho scelto uno smalto indie europeo!! La marca è la Foxy Paws e gli smalti sono made in Denmark :-)
Oltre ad avere una passione per gli indie, amo gli holo dai colori decisi e un po' insoliti, quindi oggi condividerò con voi questo bellissimo blu!
Opaco in due passate, niente top coat (come base per gli holo uso sempre un'aqua base)

Finally it's Friday!! Have you survived to the heat wave that's invading our country? I'm surviving, but all this heat and humidity are taking away my energies :-(
For today I chose a European indie polish! It's a Foxy Paws and it's made ​​in Denmark :-)
I have a passion for indies, but also for bright and unusual holo polishes, so today I will share with you this beautiful bold blue!
Opaque in two coats, no top coat (I always use aqua base for holos).

Quando l'ho preso ho avuto paura che fosse dupe dell'altro holo blu che possiedo, ossia Apolo della brasiliana Hits Speciallità No Olimpo. Ho fatto una comparison ed è venuto fuori che non sono assolutamente dupe, anzi, sono diversissimi! Quindi sì, purtroppo avete bisogno di entrambi :-))



When I bought it I was afraid it was dupe of the other blue holo that I own, the Brazilian Hits Speciallità No Olimpo Apolo. I did a comparison and it turned out that they are very different! So yes,  unfortunately you need both :-))

Twinsie Friday - Holothon: Darling Diva Dreamy

Ciao a tutte!!
Da oggi per qualche settimana vorrei mostrarvi un po' di holo indie per la Holothon del venerdì, quasi tutti comprati in Europa, yeppa!!
Parto con Dreamy di Darling Diva, che è in realtà un top coat olografico linear, e secondo me è veramente spettacolare! Se vi siete chieste come sarebbe in versione olografica il vostro bel rosso lampone o verde smeraldo, questa può essere una possibilità di vederlo!!
Sopra uno smalto scuro risalta molto di più rispetto a un chiaro, per questo ho scelto come base un blu scurissimo polveroso, Bobbing for Baubles della Essie e un viola a base rossa con shimmer blu, Denali di Elevation Polish.
Ho steso una passata di Dreamy su tutte le dita escluso l'anulare per farvi vedere come cambia la base e il super effetto holo. Non ho usato top coat.

For the next weeks I would like to show you some indie holo for the Friday Holothon. I bought almost all of them in Europe, so no customs problems!
The first one is  Dreamy by Darling Diva, which is actually a linear holographic top coat, and I think it's truly amazing! If you've wondered how it would be in a holographic version your beautiful raspberry red or emerald green nail polish, this could be a chance to see it!
It stands out over a dark base, so I chose a very dark dusty blue undie, Bobbing For Baubles from Essie and a reddish shimmer purple, Denali by Elevation Polish.
I have put one coat of Dreamy on all fingers except the ring finger to let you see how it changes the base and also its gorgeous holo effect. No top coat in these pictures.
