Benvenute al  nuovo appuntamento con le Rainbow Ladies 2.0! Oggi ci aspetta uno dei nuovi colori che abbiamo introdotto quest'anno, il teal. In italiano è il color foglia di té, un bellissimo verde-azzurro, che è anche il mio colore smaltoso preferito!
Ho deciso di mostrarvelo sotto forma di un textured glitter della Kiko, il 456. Fa parte del set purtroppo ormai discontinued uscito lo scorso Natale e di cui vi avevo mostrato il Royal Blue.
Eccolo in due passate scorrevoli e veloci.

Welcome back to the Rainbow Ladies 2.0! Today we have one of the new colours introduced this year: teal. A beautiful blue-green, which is also my favourite nail polish colour! 
I chose a textured glitter, Kiko #456. It's part of the sadly discontinued Christmas set which came out last year. From this set I had shown you the Royal Blue.
Here it is in two quick and easy coats.

A me piace davvero moltissimo! Mi dispiace solo che non sia stato venduto singolarmente e che non faccia parte della serie regolare! :-(

Giardino d'inverno # 4 - Kiko Sugar Mat #635 Glicine/Wisteria

Buongiorno a tutte!
Il tema del Giardino d'inverno di oggi l'ha proposto Sara, ed è proprio....il giardino d'inverno :-D
Io stavolta ho optato per un semplice swatch di uno dei pochissimi textured "senza sbrilli" in mio possesso.
Si tratta di uno degli Sugar Mat della Kiko usciti la primavera scorsa e purtroppo ormai discontinuati.
Il colore lo trovo bellissimo: è un lilla freddo, che in effetti ricorda il colore del glicine. E' molto sobrio, quasi neutro, un colore molto portabile nella vita di tutti i giorni, e anche da ufficio secondo me.
Nella stesura c'è da fare un po' di attenzione perché ho notato che lo smalto tendeva ad andare sui lati senza autolivellarsi. E' opaco in due passate e ha un'ottima durata: oggi è il terzo giorno che lo tengo sulle unghie e non si vede neanche il consumo sulle punte (ovviamente non c'è top coat)!
Subito dopo la stesura mi sono però ritrovata le dita piene di quei microgranuli di cui è composto e purtroppo si vedono anche nelle foto: vi prego di perdonarmi :-(

Today the Winter Garden theme has been suggested by Sara, and it's..... the winter garden :-D
This time I opted for a simple swatch of one of the few textured "without sparks" that I own.
It's one of the Sugar Mat released by Kiko last spring, and now unfortunately discontinued.
I like this color very very much. It's a cool lilac , the same color of the wisteria. It 's almost neutral and very wearable in everyday life, IMHO also work appropriate.
You have to pay attention when you apply it because I noticed that the nail polish might go to the sides of the nail. It's opaque in two coats and it has a good longevity. Today is the third day that I keep it on my nails and no tip wear at all (of course without top coat) !
After applying the last coat I found my fingers full of these micro-granules this nail polish is made of. Unfortunately you can clearly see them in the pictures below: please forgive me! :-(

Comparison di blu della Kiko Sugar Mat: #457 Royal Blue vs #644 Sea Blue

Post super veloce che mi ha suggerito la mia amicicia Rebenice. Lo smalto che ho swatchato l'altro giorno, il #457 della Kiko, assomiglia molto all'altro sugar mat blu che avevano fatto uscire la scorsa primavera-estate, ossia il #644. Ma quanto ci assomiglia? Vediamo le foto!

Very quick post suggested by my lovely friend Rebenice. The polish that I swatched the other day, Kiko  #457, is very similar to another blue sugar mat which came out last spring-summer, the # 644. How close are they? Let's see the pictures!

Come formula sono un po' diversi: il 644 è molto più coprente, quasi un one coater, anche se qui ho dato due passate, mentre il 457 è più trasparente alla prima passata, ma poi recupera molto alla seconda.
Il 644 ha uno shimmer argento, mentre il 457 ce l'ha azzurro, con delle microparticelle fuchsia che si vedono solo da molto vicino, ma che conferiscono una tonalità un po' più blurple all'insieme. Anche il blu di base mi sembra un po' diverso, il 644 è un po' più chiaro e polveroso del 457.



Their formula is different. 644 is much more opaque, almost a one coater, although here I have put two coats. 457 is sheerer with the first coat, but completely opaque with the second coat.
644 has a silver shimmer, while 457 has got a blue shimmer with some fuchsia microparticles almost invisible, but which give a blurple tone to the whole color. 644 is also lighter than 457 and a little bit dusty.

Kiko Sugar Mat Nail Lacquer #457 Royal Blue

Buongiorno fanciulle!!
Con l'edizione limitata Digital Emotion la Kiko ha lanciato per questo Natale un set di 8 nuovi smalti Sugar Mat; gli smalti non si possono comprare singolarmente e il set costa € 19,90. E' vero che, facendo i conti vengono € 2,48 l'uno, quindi si risparmia un po' rispetto agli smalti della linea permanente, però dovete essere un po' come me, maniache degli smalti texture, per buttarvi sull'acquisto. Io l'ho fatto, anche perché i colori mi piacevano tutti dalla boccetta, e oggi vi mostrerò uno dei miei preferiti, il Royal Blue ^^

With the Digital Emotion limited edition Kiko put out this Christmas a set of 8 new Sugar Mat nail polishes. They cannot be purchased individually and the price for the whole set is € 19,90. Each bottle is € 2,48 while the permanent line is € 2,90, but you have to be a texture aholic like me to buy this set ^^. I did it, because I liked all the colors from the bottles, and today I'll show you one of my favourites, #457, the Royal Blue ^ ^

Lo trovo davvero bellissimo, anche perché è pieno di glitterini azzurri e fuxia che brillano sotto ogni tipo di luce, anche senza sole ^^



I find it really beautiful, because it's full of blue and fuchsia little glitters that sparkle under any light, even without sun ^ ^

Con il nastro rosa - Kiko 641 sugar mat Rosa fragola + stamping

Buongiorno e buon lunedì!
Come già saprete ottobre è il mese della prevenzione del tumore al seno, e Francine ha dato il la a questa bellissima iniziativa che serve a spargere la voce: il tumore al seno infatti si può combattere se diagnosticato in tempo, non sottovalutatelo e fate i controlli periodici! In cosa consiste questa iniziativa smaltosa? Con le mie amicicie durante tutto il mese di ottobre sceglieremo di mostrarvi una manicure in rosa, e questa è quella che ho scelto.
Su tutte le unghie escluso l'anulare ho messo un rosa che secondo me è molto molto bello, uno degli smalti dal finish sabbioso che la Kiko ha fatto uscire questa primavera, il rosa fragola, che ha anche un bellissimo shimmer dorato molto evidente. E' un rosa molto carico che mette di buon umore e fa pensare all'estate (sigh).
Sull'anulare ho usato come base un altro smalto estivo, Ben & Cherries, il pastello rosa della collezione Me & My icecream della Essence. Poi ho stampato un paio di nastri rosa con il mio fidato Konad rosa e ho coperto il tutto con un flakies olografico della Moyra, il 77.

As you may know October is the breast cancer awareness month, and Francine started this wonderful initiative to spread the word.  Breast cancer can be treated if diagnosed in time, so don't miss the periodic checks ! With my nail polish mates throughout October we will choose to show you a pink manicure, and this is the one I have chosen.
On all nails except the ring finger I put a very nice pink, one of the sugar mat that Kiko brought out this spring, the strawberry pink one , which also has a very strong and beautiful golden shimmer. It puts me  in a good mood and makes me think of summer (sigh ) .
On the accent nail I used as a base another summer polish , Ben & Cherries, from the Essence LE Me & My icecream. Then I stamped a couple of pink ribbons with my trusty Konad pink and I covered it all with the holographic flakies Moyra # 77 .

Zoya Pixie Dust Vespa

Ciao a tutte!!
Eccomi di nuovo qua dopo due post programmati! Purtroppo settimana scorsa si è rotta l'unghia dell'indice della mia swatching hand (quella dell'indice per me è anche la più fragile e/o quella che si rompe per prima), quindi ho dovuto dare una limatura generale, ma confido che ricrescano in fretta!
Quando sono usciti i Pixie Dust di Zoya ho preso questo perché mi sembrava il colore più particolare e originale. E poi, ai verdi non posso dire di no :-)))
Questo è un verde salvia molto delicato e pieno di glitterini argento: una meraviglia ^___^
Ho dato due passate, anche se volendo se ne potrebbero dare anche tre. Le foto sono state fatte sia al naturale che con tre strati di top coat per vedere com'è da lucido!

I'm back after two scheduled posts! Unfortunately, last week I broke the index nail of my swatching hand (that nail for me is also the most fragile and/or the one that breaks first), so I had to file all my nails, but I hope that they grow back very fast!
I took this polish from the first release of the Pixie Dust because it seemed to me the most attractive and original color. And I cannot say no to a green :-)))
This is a very delicate sage green and full of silver sparkle: it's really a wonder ^ ___ ^
I applied two coats here. I've tried also the glossy version with three coats of top coat.

Kiko 639 Mandarino dorato + Essence Boho chic

Buonasera a tutte!
Per chi fosse ancora poco convinta sugli smalti con il finish sabbioso, oggi ho provato a sperimentare una tape manicure tono su tono accostando i due finish, il lucido e il ruvido.
Sono due pesca molto simili, uno è il Boho chic della Essence, molto bello con flakies dorati che si vedono sotto tutte le angolazioni di luce, e l'altro è il mandarino dorato di Kiko, della LE Sugar Mat.
Ho steso prima due strati di Boho chic, dopodiché ho messo un pezzo di scotch precedentemente tagliato con delle forbici a zig zag che avevo in casa...

For those who aren't completely sure about the sand finish, today I've tried an experiment with a tape manicure putting together the shine finish with the rough one.

We have two peach, one is the Essence Boho chic, very nice with gold flakies inside, and the other one is Kiko Golden Mandarin from the LE Sugar Mat.

Firstly I've pute two coats of Boho chic, then I put a piece of tape previously cut with some zig zag scissors that I had at home ...

... Poi ho dato uno strato di Kiko e ho levato subito lo scotch senza aspettare che lo smalto asciugasse.
Che ve ne pare del risultato?


.. Then I put a coat of Kiko and I immediately removed the tape without waiting for the polish to dry.

Kiko Sugar Mat 640 Rosso Papavero

Buonasera a tutte!
Potevo forse resistere al texture trend che sta imperando nella blogosfera delle unghie in questo periodo? Ebbene no! Ero troppo curiosa di provare qualcuno di questi nuovi Kiko della LE Sugar Mat, e il primo che vi mostrerò è questo rosso, che in realtà mi è sembrato più corallo che papavero (ma con Kiko ci siamo abituate a questi  nomi, no?) con glitter oro, il più acceso di quelli che ho preso. L'intento è anche quello di cercare di smuovere un po' questo cielo grigio che incombe ormai da troppo tempo con un po' di colore!

Could I resist to the texture nail polish trend? Of course not! I was too curious to try some of these new Kiko from the Sugar Mat LE, and the first I'll show you is this red, which actually seemed to me more coral than poppy (we are used to these strange names with Kiko!) with gold glitter, very bright. I'm trying to brighten up this grey sky with a bit of color!

Questo smalto mi ha pienamente soddisfatto! Oltre al colore, che mi piace molto, la formula è buona: coprente già alla prima passata (qua ne ho date due), asciugatura rapida, resistenza passabile dato che non va messo il top coat. Un po' ruvido al tatto, ma non fastidioso: mio figlio si è divertito a grattarsi con la superficie delle mie unghie ^___^

This polish has fully satisfied me! In addition to the color, which I liked a lot, the formula is good: it's a one coater (but here I put two coats), it dries fast, not very resistant because you can't put a top coat. A little rough to the touch, but not annoying: my son had fun scratching himself with the surface of my nails ^ ___ ^

Ho voluto provare anche con il top coat (almeno due strati): il colore scurisce un po', ma l'effetto mi sembra un po' piatto, dopo aver provato il 3D, e alla fine lo preferisco al naturale :-))

I wanted to try it with the top coat too (at least two coats): the color darkens a bit , but the effect seems a bit  flat, after having tried the 3D, and finally I prefer the natural version :-))
