EuRoPe Challenge # 6 - Portugal - Lisbon tram

....e benvenute in Portogallo!! Lo so, è tardi, quindi vi mostro subito l'immagine che mi ha ispirato la nail art di oggi.

... And welcome to Portugal !! I know, it's late, so I'm going to show you the picture that inspired my nail art.

E' lui, il tram di Lisbona, uno dei simboli della città, che percorre su e giù le strade pendenti e strettissime del quartiere dell'Alfama, dove nessun autobus riuscirebbe a passare! Il design interno è quello in legno dei primi del Novecento, anche se con gli anni è stato rimodernato.

Ho cercato di riprodurlo sull'anulare utilizzando come base un giallo senape che non vedevo l'ora di mostrarvi ancora, Elevation Polish Streetside, NYC, il bianco è lo Shaka Matt White, per l'intelaiatura che ho disegnato a mano (argh!!), il nero della french-tetto è il solito Camelot A-England e il fanale è una pietruzza.

It's the Lisbon tram, one of the symbols of this city, which runs up and down the narrow streets of the Alfama district where no bus would be able to pass! The interior design is in wood, the same as it was in the early twentieth century, although it has been modernized over the years. 

The base for my nail art is Elevation Polish Streetside, NYC. You have already seen it, but I love it. The white is Shaka Matt White for my free-hand lines, the black for the roof is A-England Camelot, and the light is a rhinestone.

EuRoPe Challenge # 2 - France - Tour Eiffel su base Golden Rose Paris e pizzo su Bridal Veil freehand

Buonasera fanciulle!!
Nel nostro Tour d'Europe stasera passiamo dalla Francia. E' una nazione che ha lasciato il segno nel mio cuore: non per niente ci ho passato 9 mesi tanti anni fa con la Borsa di Studio Erasmus. Peccato che poi non le ho reso giustizia, ma almeno mi sono divertita!!
Ho deciso di provare a disegnare un'originalissima (ehm....) Tour Eiffel sull'anulare a mano libera, ed è venuta uno sgorbio. Non contenta ho continuato a pasticciare con gli acrilici e mi è uscito un tentativo di pizzo sulle altre dita....Fortuna che c'è la base holo che ci consola!
Per l'anulare ho scelto uno smalto a tema: il Golden Rose Paris #117 e sulle altre dita Bridal Veil di A-England.



Good evening girls !! 
 Our "Tour d'Europe" keeps on and tonight we are in France. I left a little piece of my heart in France because many years ago I've spent nine months with my Erasmus scholarship. Unfortunately I didn't do it justice, but at least I had fun !! 
I tried to draw an extremely original (ahem ....) freehand Tour Eiffel on the ring finger, and it came a scrawl. Not satisfied, I continued to mess around with my acrylics and created a sort of lace on the other fingers .... Luckily I put some holo as a base! 
For the ring finger I chose a themed  nail polish: Golden Rose Paris # 117 and for the other fingers A-England Bridal Veil.

Birthstone Challenge # 6 - Pearl: Naj Oleari Crystalizer # 111

Buonasera a tutte e benvenute alla Birthstone Challenge!
Giugno ha due pietre del mese, e potevamo scegliere se rappresentare la perla o l'alessandrite.
Avevo fra le mani uno smaltino che mi sembrava perfetto per la perla, e così ho scelto quest'ultima, nonostante non ami le perle in modo particolare.

Vi mostrerò quindi il mio primo Naj Oleari, grazie alla mia fantastica smaltamica Silvia e al nostro secondo swap.
E' uno smalto dal finish sabbioso, come tutti quelli della linea Crystalizer, color bianco latte con uno shimmer oro-verde che secondo me gli dà un tocco in più. Non pensavo che alla fine mi sarebbe piaciuto così tanto, quindi se vi capita sotto mano fateci un pensierino! Lo potete trovare ad esempio nelle profumerie Douglas.
Dopo aver steso due passate, ho applicato delle perle con il dotting tool. Cosa ne pensate del risultato?

Good evening girls, and welcome back to the Birthstone Challenge! 

June has got two birthstones, and we could choose whether to represent  pearl or alexandrite. 

I've seen a bottle in my stash that looked perfect for the pearl, and so I chose it, even though I don't like pearls so much!

So I will show you my first Naj Oleari, thanks to my amazing nail polish friend Silvia and our second swap.

It's a textured nail polish, like all those of the Crystalizer line. It has a milky white base with a gold-green shimmer that gives it a twist. I didn't think I'd liked it so much! 

You can find it at Douglas.

After two coats, I applied some pearls with a dotting tool. What do you think of the result?

Rainbow Ladies 2.0 # 1 - Black & White - W7 Salt'n pepper + L'Oréal Confettis over black and white

Ciao bellezze!!
Oggi è venerdì e comincia una nuova avventura!! Vi ricordate delle Rainbow Ladies? (Se non lo ricordate, qua c'è il link) Grazie a Francine e Simona, abbiamo la versione aggiornata di quest'anno, la 2.0!! ^___^
Ci saranno anche delle piccole novità che scoprirete via via! La prima riguarda il colore di questa settimana: Bianco e Nero!!
Ho subito pensato a uno dei miei untrieds, un W7, marchio inglese economico che ho comprato prima che la Royal Mail vietasse di spedire smalti dall'Inghilterra. Questo è un bellissimo bianco pieno di minuscoli glitter neri. Dato che è un po' sheer bisogna abbondare nelle passate (almeno tre o quattro senza una base bianca sotto!!). Il lato positivo è che si viene a creare un sandwich di glitter in vari toni di grigio :-D
Su anulare e mignolo ho pensato a qualcosa di diverso. Base bianca (Shaka Matt White) su anulare, su cui ho spugnato un po' di nero sulla punta e base nera (A-England Camelot) sul mignolo su cui ho spugnato un po' di bianco. Su tutt'e due ho steso una passata di L'Oréal Confettis, bellissimo top coat con tanti glitterini bianchi e neri in una base trasparente, ma shimmer. Nelle foto al sole si nota il luccichio dello shimmer!

It's Friday and a new adventure begins! Do you remember the Rainbow Ladies? ( If you don't, here's the link) Thanks to Francine and Simona, we have the updated version, 2.0 ! ^ ___ ^
There will also be some news that you're going to discover soon! The first is about the color of this week: Black and White!
I immediately thought of one of my untrieds , a W7, a British low cost brand that I bought before the Royal Mail block of nail polish shipments. This is a beautiful white full of tiny black glitters . It's a bit sheer and requires many coats (three or four without a white base underneath). But here we have a glitter sandwich in different shades of grey :-D
On the ring finger I put a white base (Shaka Matt White) and I sponged a bit of black, while on the little finger I put a black base (A-England Camelot) and then I sponged a bit of white. On top of both I put a coat  of L'Oréal Confettis , a beautiful top coat with many little black and white glitters in a transparent  shimmery base. In the pictures below you can see the shimmer in the sun!

Giardino d'inverno # 10 - Vintage roses

Buongiorno a tutte!!!
Sembra incredibile che siamo arrivate all'ultimo appuntamento con il Giardino d'Inverno!! Ed è anche stato il primo inverno quasi senza neve e con pochissimo ghiaccio da quando abito nella Pianura Padana (e sono 10 anni quest'anno)!
Per festeggiare questa primavera in anticipo ho deciso di onorare il tema di oggi, che è quello floreale suggerito dalla nostra Silvia, con dei colori brillanti: fucsia, bianco e verde!
Ho anche pensato di utilizzare la mia tecnica preferita, che ormai saprete anche voi, è lo stamping! Ma, con una piccola aggiunta. Ho usato due colori per stampare, uno principalmente per i petali delle rose, e l'altro per le foglie, anche se poi si sono mischiati insieme, come doveva essere.
Il risultato mi ha ricordato delle rose un po' vintage, da cui il titolo.

It seems incredible that today is the last Winter Garden Day! It has been also the first winter with almost no snow and very little ice here in the Po Valley since I moved from Tuscany 10 years ago!
Today's theme has been suggested by the lovely Silvia, and it's Flowers. I decided to celebrate this early spring with bright colors: fuchsia, white and green.
I also used my favorite technique , which is the stamping! But, with a little addition. 
I used two stamping nail polishes, one primarily for the petals of the roses, and the other for the leaves, even if they are mixed together, as it should be.
The result reminded me some vintage roses, hence the title.

Giardino d'inverno # 9 - A Song of Ice & Fire

Benvenute al Giardino d'Inverno!
Il tema di oggi l'ha scelto Sara, ed è "il nostro libro preferito". Io sono una lettrice compulsiva fin dalla più tenera età. Devo assolutamente avere sempre un libro da leggere, mi serve proprio per vivere :-D
Capirete che è difficile decidere quale sia il mio libro preferito. Ce ne sarebbero tantissimi!
In questo periodo sto leggendo soprattutto thriller, ma il mio libro preferito è stato per anni Il Signore degli Anelli, e il genere Fantasy è ancora nel mio cuore. Qualche anno fa mi sono appassionata alla saga di George R.R. Martin, Le Cronache del Ghiaccio e del Fuoco, ed è qui che ho preso ispirazione per la mia nail art.
Una cosa davvero semplicissima che ho fatto oggi in più o meno dieci minuti O__O

Welcome to the Winter Garden !
Today's theme has been chosen by Sara, and it's "our favourite book".  I am a compulsive reader (a book-aholic :-) ) from an early age. 
I must have a book to read, always, it's a life need.
You will understand that it's difficult to decide which is my favourite book . There could be many!
In this period I'm reading mostly thrillers, but my favourite book has been The Lord of the Rings for years, and the fantasy genre is still in my heart. A few years ago I fell in love with the saga A Song of Ice and Fire, written by George R. R. Martin, and that's where I got inspiration for my nail art.
A really simple mani that I did today in more or less ten minutes O__O

Per il nostro terzo appuntamento con il Giardino d'inverno, Francine ha suggerito il tema dello sport. Ho una stamping plate della Cheeky a tema sport, e non c'era occasione migliore di questa per utilizzarla!
Ecco a voi le mie pinne blu. La stampa è venuta un po' imprecisa con qualche sbavatura, ma da lontano non si nota molto, e alla fine mi sono piaciute!

For our third Winter Garden day, Francine has suggested the sport theme. I have a Cheeky stamping plate dedicated to the sports, and there was no better occasion to try it! 
Here's to you my blue fins. The stamping isn't perfect. The top coat smeared a bit, but it's not so noticeable from the distance, and in the end I liked it!

Giardino d'inverno #1 - White snowflakes over denim blue ft. Layla Ceramic Effect CE66

Siete pronte? Oggi con le mie amiche di avventura partiamo per un nuovo viaggio, una challenge ideata da Francine che ci porterà ogni venerdì nel nostro Giardino d'inverno.

Are you ready? Today with my nail mates we start a new journey, a challenge created by Francine that will take us every Friday to our Winter Garden.

Utilizzeremo solo smalti opachi con finish matte, suede, satin o textured, ma senza glitter. In più ogni settimana potremo scegliere di realizzare una nail art con un tema scelto da una di  noi.
Il tema di questa settimana l'ha scelto Silvia, ed è l'inverno.
Ho deciso di stampare dei fiocchi di neve bianchi su una base azzurra e poi ho steso un top coat matte (che penso userò molto spesso per questa challenge :-) ) per opacizzare il tutto.
Ecco cosa ho usato:

Smalto per stamping: Konad white
Stamping plate:         Vivid Lacquer VL006
Top coat:                  Butter London Matte finish Shine Free Topcoat



We'll only use nail polishes with the following finish: matte, suede, satin or textured, but without glitter. In addition, each week we have a theme for an optional nail art, chosen by one of us.
Today's theme is the winter, and it has been chosen by Silvia. 
I decided to print some white snowflakes on a blue base and then I put a coat of a matte top coat (which I think I'll use very often for this challenge :-)).

Some winter stamping

Buongiorno a tutte!
Come state? Spero che abbiate passato uno splendido Natale con tutte le persone cui volete bene e vi siate rilassate a tavola! Io sono stata un po' di giorni in Trentino in pieno relax ^__^
Ho un po' di foto da mostrarvi, scattate prima di partire, in tema natalizio.
La prima è uno stamping fatto sulla base I'm backstage, il verde acqua shimmeroso della Beauty Beats LE di Essence. Lo trovo un colore molto carino! Il bianco sopra non fa abbastanza contrasto, e il risultato è fin troppo soft, ma alla fine non mi dispiace! Gli alberini invernali li ho presi dalla stamping plate Jumbo plate 6 Happy Holidays della Cheeky.

How are you? I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with all the people you love and you had some relax at the table! I have been some days in Trentino Alto Adige relaxing myself ^ __ ^

I have a couple of pics to show you, taken before leaving, in Christmas theme.

The first is a stamping done over I'm backstage, the shimmer aqua green from the Essence LE Beauty Beats. I think it's a very nice color! There's not enough contrast between the aqua green and the Konad white. The result is maybe too soft, but I like it anyway! The winter trees come from the Jumbo plate 6 Happy Holidays from Cheeky.

Per la prossima stampa avevo pensato di usare l'oro Suspect della LE Thrilling me softly di Catrice. Devo dire che da solo non mi è piaciuto per niente. Un colore troppo smorto che non sta per niente bene con la mia carnagione. Ho provato ad abbellirlo con il mio amato Dragon di A-England. Al sole, dove si vedono gli sbrilli holo non è male neanche questa! ^^


For the next stamping I wanted to try the gold Suspect from the Catrice LE Thrilling me softly. I don't like it on its own. I think it's too dull and it doesn't match my skin color. I tried to improve it with my beloved A-England Dragon. In the sunlight, where you can see the holo sparkles, it's not bad at all ^^

Battle of Planets # 13 - Galaxy Nails in purple and blue

Ciao a tutte!!
Siamo quasi alla fine della nostra Battle of Planets. Non poteva mancare una galaxy nail art per vedere un po' di stelle sulle nostre unghie!! ^___^
Ero felicissima di avere l'opportunità di fare un secondo tentativo di galaxy (se siete curiose qua c'è il mio primo tentativo)! Purtroppo questa settimana non è stata il massimo, e il risultato ottenuto non mi è piaciuto per niente :-((
Vorrà dire che riproverò ancora, anche perché le galaxy vengono sempre diverse ogni volta che ci proviamo! :-) Bisogna pur essere ottimiste!
Una delle circostanze che mi sono capitate è stata una brutta rottura all'indice della swatching hand, così vedrete le mie unghiette ai minimi termini.
Ho utilizzato una marea di smalti.

We are close to the end of our Battle of Planets. We couldn't miss a galaxy nail art: the best way to see plenty of stars on our nails! ^ ___ ^
I was so happy to have the opportunity to make a second attempt to a galaxy nail art (if you're curious here's my first attempt!) 
Unfortunately this week wasn't my best week, and the final result didn't satisfy me at all. :-( 
This means that I'll try it again, because every galaxy nail art is different and maybe I'll manage to improve :-) I have to be optimistic! 
Among other things I had a bad breakup of my swatching hand index, so you'll see my little nubs!
I used a lot of nail polishes.

Se vi chiedete cosa sono quelle macchie bianche sull'anulare, è un tentativo di Spiral Galaxy . Non ho avuto tempo di togliere lo smalto e ricominciare, quindi ve lo mostro lo stesso!

Battle of Planets # 7 - Asteroids: Essie Steel-ing the scene

Buongiorno a tutte!!
Oggi post programmato: ho approfittato del week end lungo per andare al Lago di Ledro con tutta la famiglia! La Battaglia dei Pianeti si combatte comunque ^^ : pioggia di asteroidi sui nostri blog e il colore dominante sarà il grigio!
Lo smalto che ho scelto mi convinceva più dalla boccetta che sulle unghie. Viene da una vecchia collezione della Essie, addirittura Inverno 2007; è un chrome color acciaio dai sottotoni gialli. Opaco in due passate, si vedono un po' di brushstrokes, ma neanche troppo!

Today scheduled post. This week we have a long week end, so I decided to pack two or three clothes and go to the Ledro Lake with my family! For our Battle of Planets today we'll see an asteroid shower on our blogs and the main color is grey!
I chose a polish that is better from the bottle than on the nails. It comes from an old Essie collection, Winter 2007, and it's a chrome steel with yellow undertones. Opaque in two coats, with not so much brushstrokes ^^

Da solo però non mi convince molto, quindi ho pensato di "abbellirlo" con una nail art. Questo grigio non mi ha ispirato molto a dir la verità: un po' di fail ed ecco cosa mi è uscito.
Ho fatto una gradient con il Layla Magneffect # 01 Black metal touch sulle punte e poi ho aggiunto il top coat glitterato Froze to Death di Elevation Polish (ottimo per nail art invernali! :-) ). Cosa ve ne pare?



I don't like it very much on its own, so I decided to try a nail art. After a few fails I came up with this one. 
I did a gradient with Layla Magneffect # 01 Black metal touch on the tips and then I added the glitter top coat Froze to Death by Elevation Polish (great for a winter nail art :-)). What do you think about it?

KKcenterHK N.NAIL Studs Circular Blue 2mm stamped over Essence Lily Bloom

Ciao a tutte!!
Questo titolo lunghissimo per indicare che oggi pubblico il secondo post relativo a quello che mi ha gentilmente mandato la KKcenterHK! Qua c'è il primo post.
Il secondo prodotto che vi mostro sono delle borchiette azzurre metalliche del diametro di 2 mm, le NNAIL-DRN662.
Ecco come ho deciso di utilizzarle: ho steso come base un bianco dallo shimmer rosa-dorato molto carino, Lily Bloom dalla LE Floral Grunge della Essence. Poi ho fatto una stampa utilizzando una plate della Cheeky, la CH44 e Deviantly Daring di China Glaze (che fra l'altro è ottimo per stampare).
Sulla stampa floreale azzurra ho aggiunto le borchiette a completare le corolle dei fiori: che ve ne pare del risultato? Devo ancora perfezionare la mia tecnica di stampa :-) però mi piace com'è venuta!

How long is this title? Anyway, today I'm posting the second part related to what KKcenterHK kindly has sent to me! Here you'll find the first part.
The second product I'm showing you are some blue metallic studs with a diameter of 2 mm, product code NNAIL-DRN662.
I have put as base a pink-gold shimmery white very cute, Essence Lily Bloom from the LE Floral Grunge . Then I stamped using a Cheeky plate, the CH44 and Deviantly Daring from China Glaze (which is great for printing).
I added the studs to the floral print: what do you think? I have to improve my stamping techniques :-) but I like the final result!

Festa nazionale francese - Bastille Day manicure

Ciao a tutte e buona domenica!
Vi ricordate la manicure fatta per il giorno d'indipendenza americana? Con le mie amicicie ci abbiamo preso gusto, e oggi festeggiamo "Le 14 juillet", la festa nazionale francese ^____^
Ringrazio di cuore Francesca che ha organizzato questa giornata!
Ho deciso di fare delle bandiere francesi sulle unghie aiutandomi con lo striping tape. La mia accent invece è un top coat glitter su base bianca. Tanto per cambiare e per rendere un po' più estivo il tutto ho pensato a un rosso neon, Hedonist, dalla collezione Hed Kandi di Models Own. Lo stesso rosso viene ripreso dai glitterini matte di Razzmatazz della Lush Lacquer che ho usato per l'anulare, insieme al blu.
La base bianca la potete indovinare anche da sole, uso sempre la stessa ^___^ My boyfriend scales walls della OPI! E il blu invece è Why So Blue di H&M.

Do you remember what I did for the Indipendence Day? My nail polish friends and I liked it so much that today we've decided to celebrate the Bastille Day, the French national holiday ^ ____ ^
Thanks so much to Francesca who organized it all!
I decided to make some French flags on the nails with the help of my striping tape. My accent nail is a glitter top coat on a white base. Just to make something different and more summery, I thought to use a neon red, Hedonist, from the Hed Kandi Collection by Models Own. It's the same kind of red that you'll find in Razzmatazz by Lush Lacquer, a mix of red and blue matte glitter on my ring finger.
I think that you can guess which white base I used, 'cause it's always the same  ^ ___ ^  My boyfriend scales walls by OPI! For the blue I used Why So Blue by H&M.

Purtroppo non ho avuto la pazienza di aspettare l'asciugatura completa e quando ho steso il top coat sull'indice Why so blue ha un po' sbavato :-/


Unfortunately I didn't have the patience to wait for a complete drying and when I put the top coat on the index Why so blue smeared a bit :-/
