Twinsie Friday - Holothon: Pupa Holographic Nail Polish 038 - Strawberry

Buongiorno a tutte!!
Non c'è niente di meglio di un holo per aprire il week end! Per oggi ho scelto un holo della Pupa: ho scoperto tardi questa collezione, di cui ho preso solo due pezzi, e mi dispiace perché sono davvero tutti belli! Questo è un rosa/rosso fragola che diventa quasi corallo grazie all'effetto holo molto delicato. Il risultato è un colore che mi piace moltissimo! E' molto pigmentato: io ho dato due passate, anche se ne basterebbe una, sopra alla base ad acqua che secondo me aiuta molto nella stesura.
Peccato che la durata non sia granché, come succede a molti olografici!
Non è uno splendore? :-)

There's nothing better than a holo to open the weekend! For today I chose a Pupa holo: I've found out late this collection, and bought only two pieces. I'm sorry about this, because they really are all gorgeous! This is a strawberry pink/red that becomes almost coral thanks to its holo effect. The final result is a color that I really love! It's very pigmented: I've put two coats, although one would be enough. I've used an aqua base for it, and I think it helps!

It chips very fast, as many holo polishes often do!

It's a beauty, isn't it? :-)

Twinsie Friday - Holothon: China Glaze Sci-fly by

Buongiorno ragazze!!
Eccoci arrivate alla fine di un'altra settimana!
Per oggi volevo provare uno smalto della Hologlam Collection, e ho scelto questo celeste (l'altro che ho preso è Not in this galaxy, il rosa corallo).
E' un holo linear, ma il suo effetto è molto blando rispetto ad altri linear che ho provato e la formula non è perfetta. Opaco in due passate, è un po' denso e lascia vedere i difetti dell'unghia. L'ho provato su base normale, ma una base ad acqua probabilmente aiuta. L'effetto holo si nota una volta asciugato, quindi non temete se non lo vedete mentre lo applicate! Non ho messo top coat.
E' un bello smalto, ma non uno di quelli che vi lasceranno a bocca aperta!

Here we are at the end of another week!  
For today I wanted to try a polish from the Hologlam Collection, and I chose this sky blue (the other one that I have bought is Not in this galaxy, the pink coral one).
It's a linear holo, but its effect is very weak compared to others that I've tried and its formula isn't perfect. Opaque in two coats, it's a bit thick and it shows the imperfections of your nails. 
I tried it on a normal base, but an aqua base probably helps. You can see the holo effect once it dries, so don't worry if you don't see it while you apply it! I didn't put any top coat.
It's a beautiful polish, but not one of those that will leave you speechless!

Volevo anche mostrarvi com'è all'ombra: beh, scompare l'effetto holo e diventa quasi metallico!


I want to show you how it is under the shade and...well, the holo effect desappears and it becomes almost metallic!

Indipendence nails - 4th of July

Ciao a tutte!!
Come avete visto dal titolo, sono felice di partecipare a una nuova iniziativa ideata dalla mia amicicia dalle mille idee Francesca per una nail art a tema giorno dell'Indipendenza americana! Fra parentesi vi confesserò che oggi è anche il giorno del patrono di Piacenza, Sant'Antonino, e quindi festeggiamo pure noi! ^___^

Ho pensato di fare una cosa super semplice e veloce. Le stripes bianche e rosse su tutte le unghie eccetto l'anulare, e le stars sulla accent nail su fondo blu notte  glitterato. Ho usato come base il mio caro vecchio My boyfriend scales walls OPI, striping tape e uno strato di To-Die-For della Ioni Cosmetics (smalto preso al Cosmoprof). Su tutto ho steso uno strato di Catherine Arley 128. Sull'anulare due strati di Tibetan Nights di Cirque, così bello che si meriterà un post a parte in futuro e un po' di stelline ^___^

I'm glad to participate in a new initiative created by my friend Francesca, a lady with a thousand of ideas, for a Fourth of July manicure! I will confess you that today is also the day of the patron saint of Piacenza, St. Anthony, and so we celebrate too! ^ ___ ^

I thought I would do something super quick and easy. The red and white stripes on all nails except the ring finger, and the stars on the accent nail over a glittery blue night. I used as a base my dear old My boyfriend scales walls by OPI, a striping tape and one coat of To-Die-For from Ioni Cosmetics (I bought this one at the Cosmoprof). Finally one coat of Catherine Arley 128, glitter holographic top coat. On the ring finger I put two coats of Tibetan Nights by Cirque, so gorgeous that it deserves a separate post in the future, and a bit of little stars ^ ___ ^

Twinsie Post: Holothon - A-England Dragon

Buonasera a tutte!!
Sono reduce da una gastroenterite presa ieri mattina (probabilmente me l'ha attaccata mio figlio, poverino anche lui! Settimana disastrosa, già!), per fortuna però penso che sia già passata, e allora via alla Holothon!! Ho un debole per la A-England e incredibilmente non vi ho ancora mostrato nessun olografico della loro collezione The Legends. Dragon è stato quello che mi ha fatto innamorare di A-England, vero e proprio colpo di fulmine, ed è finito dritto nel primo ordine, ormai almeno 1 anno e mezzo fa!
E' un holo scattered di un bellissimo verde profondo, ma non troppo scuro, con dei riflessi oro-ramati che secondo me lo rendono unico!
Aspettate, non è finita qui: la cosa più bella degli smalti di questa collezione, compreso lui, è che hanno una formula strepitosa, direi perfetta: praticamente si stendono da soli, non c'è quasi bisogno di fare clean up, sono molto pigmentati e non c'è bisogno né di basi particolari né di top coat.
Ho dato due passate per una coprenza perfetta, senza top coat nelle foto che seguono. Devo ringraziare il sole di oggi pomeriggio perché all'ora di pranzo era tutto scuro, buuuuh!!

How are you? I 've been sick these days with a gastroenteritis (probably my son passed me it, poor guy too! Disastrous week, already!).  But I think I'm fine now, and so are you ready for the the Holothon?
I'm in love with A-England and I cannot believe I haven't yet shown you any of their holographic polishes from The Legends Collection. Dragon was the one that made ​​me fall in love with A-England, a true love at first sight, and it went straight into the first-order, now at least 1 year and a half ago!
It's a beautiful deep green scattered holo, but not too dark, with some coppery-gold reflections that I think make it unique!
Wait, there's more: the greatest thing in the polishes of this collection, including him, is that they have an amazing formula, I would say perfect. They auto-apply, there's almost no need to clean up, they are very pigmented and they don't need a special base nor a top coat.
I put two coats for a perfect coverage, no top coat in the pictures that follow. I have to thank the sun of this afternoon beacause at lunch time it was soooo dark, boooooh!

Zoya Pixie Dust Vespa

Ciao a tutte!!
Eccomi di nuovo qua dopo due post programmati! Purtroppo settimana scorsa si è rotta l'unghia dell'indice della mia swatching hand (quella dell'indice per me è anche la più fragile e/o quella che si rompe per prima), quindi ho dovuto dare una limatura generale, ma confido che ricrescano in fretta!
Quando sono usciti i Pixie Dust di Zoya ho preso questo perché mi sembrava il colore più particolare e originale. E poi, ai verdi non posso dire di no :-)))
Questo è un verde salvia molto delicato e pieno di glitterini argento: una meraviglia ^___^
Ho dato due passate, anche se volendo se ne potrebbero dare anche tre. Le foto sono state fatte sia al naturale che con tre strati di top coat per vedere com'è da lucido!

I'm back after two scheduled posts! Unfortunately, last week I broke the index nail of my swatching hand (that nail for me is also the most fragile and/or the one that breaks first), so I had to file all my nails, but I hope that they grow back very fast!
I took this polish from the first release of the Pixie Dust because it seemed to me the most attractive and original color. And I cannot say no to a green :-)))
This is a very delicate sage green and full of silver sparkle: it's really a wonder ^ ___ ^
I applied two coats here. I've tried also the glossy version with three coats of top coat.

Qua sotto lo vedete in versione lucida: io però continuo a preferirlo in versione sabbiosa!

Twinsie Friday - Holothon: Color Club Cloud Nine

Ciao ragazze!!!
Venerdì scorso vi avevo preannunciato che qualcosa stava bollendo in pentola, ed ecco che oggi parte una nuova maratona di smalti. Come dice il nome nel titolo, saranno tutti holo! Non potrei essere più felice, un po' perché potrò continuare a collaborare con le mie smaltamiche, un po' perché adoro follemente gli holo!! E non c'è stagione migliore per portarli dell'estate, dato che al sole danno davvero il meglio! Ma potrete vederlo voi stesse.
Partirò col botto, dato che lo smalto di oggi penso sia uno dei miei preferiti in assoluto! Cloud Nine è un holo linear della collezione Halo Hues. Come colore lo vedo come una via di mezzo fra il rosa chiaro e il lilla, ma quello che è stupefacente è l'effetto holo sotto il sole, davvero potente!
E la formula è perfetta: si stende liscio come l'olio, opaco in due passate, ma potrebbe bastarne una, ce l'ho da tre giorni e non si è minimamente scheggiato, e le foto sono senza top coat. Che volere di più da un holo? Penso niente!!
Guardate che trasformazione dall'ombra al sole....

Last Friday I told you that something was in the air, and here it is: today is starting a new polish marathon. As the name in the title, it'll be a holothon! I couldn't be happier, because I'll be able to work again with my nail polish friends and because I love holos with all my heart :-) ! Summer is the best season for them, but you can see it yourself.

I'll start with a polish which is one of my favourites. Cloud Nine is a linear holo from the Halo Hues collection. Its color is a shade between light pink and lilac, but what's amazing is the holo effect under the sunlight, really powerful!

And the formula is perfect: it applies smoothly, opaque in two coats, but maybe almost one. I had it for three days and it hasn't chipped at all, and all the pictures are without top coat. Perfection in a bottle!!

Look at how much it changes from the shade to the sunlight ....

Discontinued Day #2 - L'Oréal Resist & Shine 734 e 735

Buongiorno a tutte!!
Come state? Questa settimana sono in ferie (^______^) e ho programmato sia questo post che quello di venerdì prossimo. Mi scuso fin d'ora perché molto probabilmente non potrò rispondere ai vostri commenti o commentare i vostri post se non al mio rientro.
Oggi tiro fuori dal mio helmer due reperti archeologici!! Sono i miei due smalti più vecchi e ancora in ottimo stato in mio possesso: peccato che non vengano più prodotti perché sono delle chicche!!
Amanti degli smalti scuri venite a me: questi fanno per voi!!

Il primo che vi mostro è il 734, il Black Ruby.
Se all'ombra è un rosso scuro quasi nero

How are you? This week I'm on holidays (^ ______ ^) and I planned this post and the next one. I apologize because maybe I won't be to answer to your comments or I won't be able to comment your posts. Anyway I'll do it as soon as I'll be back!

Today I get out from my helmer two archaeological polishes! They are my two oldest and still in excellent condition polishes. It's a shame that they are no longer produced because they are absolutely cool!

Lovers of dark polishes come here: these are for you!

The first is #734, Black Ruby.

Tenete presente che ho dato una sola passata ed è già coprentissimo! Insomma, lo adoro, ed è anche il mio preferito dei due.


It's a  perfect one-coater! I love it and it's my favourite between these two.



Il secondo è il 735, il Black Brown. E' un marrone scurissimo quasi nero, con uno shimmer leggero, ma presente, che va dall'oro al rosso. Ci vogliono almeno due passate per la coprenza totale, però neanche lui ha risentito del peso degli anni :-))) Se cliccate sulla prima foto vedrete lo sbrilluccichio multicolore dello shimmer!

The second one is the #735, Black Brown. It's a very dark brown, almost black, with a slight shimmer, ranging from gold to red. It takes at least two coats for full coverage, but still young referring to its formula :-))) If you click on the first picture you will see the multicolored bling of its shimmer!
