Battle of Planets # 14 - Comets

Buongiorno a tutte!!
Oggi è l'ultimo appuntamento con la Battle of Planets!! Questa bella avventura spaziale ci ha accompagnato per ben 14 settimane, e sembra proprio che siano volate ^^
A noi piace terminare in bellezza, e così abbiamo organizzato per oggi una bella pioggia di stelle comete!

Per la manicure di oggi ho voluto sulle mie unghie un cielo stellato. La base l'avevo già utilizzata qua, è Cirque Tibetan Nights, ma mi piace così tanto che oggi è diventato lui il protagonista. Per le stelle (cometa compresa)  ho utilizzato la plate NC02 di Nailz Craze e il mio fido argento A-England Excalibur.
In più ho aggiunto una stellina.

Today ends our Battle of Planets! This beautiful space adventure has been with us for 14 weeks and it seems to me that it has just started!!

We like to finish with a flourish, and so for today we have arranged a nice comets shower!

For today's manicure I wanted on my nails a starry sky. I had already used the base here, it's Cirque Tibetan Nights. I think it's the best glitter jelly dark blue in my stash! For the stars (comet included) I used the plate Nailz Craze NC02 and my trusty silver A-England Excalibur.

In addition, I added a little star.

Battle of Planets # 13 - Galaxy Nails in purple and blue

Ciao a tutte!!
Siamo quasi alla fine della nostra Battle of Planets. Non poteva mancare una galaxy nail art per vedere un po' di stelle sulle nostre unghie!! ^___^
Ero felicissima di avere l'opportunità di fare un secondo tentativo di galaxy (se siete curiose qua c'è il mio primo tentativo)! Purtroppo questa settimana non è stata il massimo, e il risultato ottenuto non mi è piaciuto per niente :-((
Vorrà dire che riproverò ancora, anche perché le galaxy vengono sempre diverse ogni volta che ci proviamo! :-) Bisogna pur essere ottimiste!
Una delle circostanze che mi sono capitate è stata una brutta rottura all'indice della swatching hand, così vedrete le mie unghiette ai minimi termini.
Ho utilizzato una marea di smalti.

We are close to the end of our Battle of Planets. We couldn't miss a galaxy nail art: the best way to see plenty of stars on our nails! ^ ___ ^
I was so happy to have the opportunity to make a second attempt to a galaxy nail art (if you're curious here's my first attempt!) 
Unfortunately this week wasn't my best week, and the final result didn't satisfy me at all. :-( 
This means that I'll try it again, because every galaxy nail art is different and maybe I'll manage to improve :-) I have to be optimistic! 
Among other things I had a bad breakup of my swatching hand index, so you'll see my little nubs!
I used a lot of nail polishes.

Se vi chiedete cosa sono quelle macchie bianche sull'anulare, è un tentativo di Spiral Galaxy . Non ho avuto tempo di togliere lo smalto e ricominciare, quindi ve lo mostro lo stesso!
E adesso rifatevi gli occhi con le galassie delle mie compagne: hanno fatto dei lavori davvero magnifici *___*

Battle of Planets # 12 - Pluto: Shaka Tinting denim

Ciao a tutte!!
Benvenute alla Battle of Planets! Oggi abbiamo Plutone, l'ultimo pianeta cui dedicheremo un colore, che dal 2006 è stato declassato a pianeta nano. Oltre ad essere piccolo e nero, il Calimero del sistema solare ^__^, è anche dedicato a Plutone, divinità dell'Oltretomba!
Non avendo un metallico nero che mi convincesse ho optato per un grigio scuro, un colore molto complesso e particolare: ci vedo delle sfumature verde-blu-rosa, che però si vedono solo guardando la boccetta molto da vicino, ed è pieno di microglitter argento! Questo gioiellino mi è arrivato grazie alla carinissima e gentilissima Silvia di Smaltomania con la quale ho fatto un mega-swap (di cui in futuro sentirete ancora parlare qua sopra!!).
Tre passate per la coprenza, nessun problema di formulazione!

Welcome to the Battle of Planets! Today we have Pluto, which since 2006 has been downgraded to a dwarf planet. In addition to being small and black, it's also dedicated to Pluto, god of the Underworld, appropriate for such a presumably dark and cold world!
For this planet we could choose between black and dark grey and I opted for a dark grey very complex and original. I see shades of green-blue-pink inside, but you can see them only by looking at the bottle closely, and it's also full of silver microglitter ! I got this little gem thanks to the lovely and extremely kind Silvia from Smaltomania with whom I did a mega-swap (you will heard more about this swap later).
Three coats for perfect coverage and easy to apply!

Battle of Planets # 11 - Neptune: China Glaze Scandalous Shenanigans

Buongiorno ragazze!!
Questa settimana trionfa il blu sul blog! Oggi la Battle of Planets è dedicata a Nettuno, il pianeta più gelido del sistema solare. Il suo nome è dedicato al dio del mare, e non potevamo non scegliere il blu per celebrarlo! Non solo, leggo da Wikipedia: "Le tracce di metano presenti negli strati più esterni dell'atmosfera contribuiscono a conferire al pianeta Nettuno il suo caratteristico colore azzurro intenso".
Oggi vi mostrerò uno smalto abbastanza recente, viene dalla collezione Autunno 2013 di China Glaze, la Autumn Nights, ed è stata una bella scoperta, perché mi è piaciuto molto di più di quello che pensavo! Uno splendido blu metallico, non troppo scuro e coprente alla prima passata!

We have the blue week on the blog ^__^! Today the Battle of the Planets is dedicated to Neptune, the coldest planet of the solar system. His name is dedicated to the god of the sea, and we had to choose the blue to celebrate it! More, I read from Wikipedia: "Traces of methane in the outermost regions in part account for the planet's blue appearance".

Today I will show you a nail polish which comes from the China Glaze Fall 2013 Collection, Autumn Nights. It was a nice discovery, because I liked it much more than I thought! A beautiful metallic blue, not too dark and a perfect one coater!

Battle of Planets # 10 - Uranus: Kiko Celebration Nail Lacquer # 423 Pearly Peacock

Buongiorno ragazze!!
Finalmente siamo arrivate (a venerdì? Sì, sono felice anche per quello ^^) al giorno dedicato a Urano: abbiamo deciso di associargli il verde, che è uno dei colori che preferisco sulle unghie!
Ho scelto un verde foil davvero brillantissimo che mi tira un po' su il morale in queste giornate grigie (e infatti non l'ho ancora tolto ^^). Si tratta del Kiko Pearly Peacock della LE Celebration uscita la scorsa estate: è un verde smeraldo davvero lucente, coprente in due passate, nessun problema da segnalare.
Lo trovo così bello che ve lo mostro nudo e crudo :-)

Finally it's (Friday? Yes, I'm happy for that, too ^ ^) the day dedicated to Uranus! We decided to associate it to the green color, which is one of my favorite on my nails!
I chose a really bright green foil that cheers me up in these grey days (and in fact I'm still wearing it). This is Kiko Pearly Peacock from the last summer's LE Celebration.  It's a really shiny emerald green, opaque in two coats, no problems to report.
I find it so beautiful that I'll show you without any nail art.

Battle of Planets # 9 - Saturn: H&M Purple flash ft. Kiko Mirror Nail Lacquer 621 + China Glaze Midnight ride

Buongiorno ragazze!!
Oggi vi porto su Saturno! ^___^ Non è uno dei più belli in assoluto grazie al suo anello? E il colore a lui associato è il viola, meglio di così non avrei potuto chiedere!!
Per celebrarlo degnamente ho trovato una stamping plate con dei piccoli pianeti Saturno, quale occasione migliore di oggi per provarla?
Su tutte le dita eccetto l'anulare ho messo un viola foil, il Purple Flash di H&M, comprato ormai più di un anno fa quando sono entrata in un H&M a fare razzia di smalti ^^ Peccato che non ce ne sia uno nella mia città! Comunque il colore è bellissimo, sarà che sono innamorata di questo finish! Ed è quasi un camaleonte: vedrete nelle foto quanto cambia a seconda della luce! E' anche molto pigmentato; nelle foto ho dato due passate, ma ne basterebbe quasi una abbondante!
Per la accent ho usato una base viola scurissimo, quasi nero, il CG Midnight ride, su cui ho stampato con il Kiko mirror viola 621, il Violetto utilizzando la Cheeky plate CH46, la stessa che avevo usato per la Luna :-)

Today I take you on Saturn ! ^ ___ ^ It's one of my favourite planets thanks to its ring! And we're all wearing purple on our nails, I couldn't ask better!
I found a stamping plate with a design full of small Saturns, and I had to try it today!
On all fingers except the ring finger I put a purple foil, H&M Purple Flash, bought last year. Too bad that there aren't H&M stores in my town ! However, the color is beautiful and I'm in love with this finish! It's almost a chameleon: can you see in these pictures how much it changes depending from the light? It's also very pigmented, almost a one coater. I put two coats in the pictures below.
For the accent I used a purple base very dark , almost black, CG Midnight ride, on which I printed with Kiko mirror 621, Violet, and with the Cheeky plate CH46 , the same that I used for the Moon :-)

Battle of Planets # 8 - Jupiter: A-England Holy Grail (old version)

Buongiorno ragazze, e buon venerdì!!
Oggi sbarchiamo sul pianeta Giove e vestiremo tutte le nostre unghie di giallo! Trovare un giallo con un finish metallico o foil non è affatto semplice. Scavando nel mio stash ho trovato solo questo oro, che però è un oro molto giallo ^___^
E' un altro A-England, spero non vi siate stufate di questa marca! :-) Io no, anche perché devo dire che questo oro mi ha piacevolmente sorpreso sulle unghie: mi piace davvero molto!!
Lo trovo molto regale, e così ho deciso di arricchirlo con una pietra gioiello azzurra comprata da Viva la nails tempo fa. Che ve ne pare del risultato?

Today we land on the planet Jupiter and all of our nails will be yellow-dressed! I admit that finding a yellow nail polish with a metallic or foil finish isn't easy. Digging into my stash I only found this gold, but it's a yellowish gold ^ ___ ^
It 's another A-England, I hope you're not tired of this brand! :-) I do not, because I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by this gold on my nails: I really like it!
I find it very regal, and so I decided to enrich it with a blue jewel stone bought from Viva la nails some time ago. What do you think of the result?

Battle of Planets # 7 - Asteroids: Essie Steel-ing the scene

Buongiorno a tutte!!
Oggi post programmato: ho approfittato del week end lungo per andare al Lago di Ledro con tutta la famiglia! La Battaglia dei Pianeti si combatte comunque ^^ : pioggia di asteroidi sui nostri blog e il colore dominante sarà il grigio!
Lo smalto che ho scelto mi convinceva più dalla boccetta che sulle unghie. Viene da una vecchia collezione della Essie, addirittura Inverno 2007; è un chrome color acciaio dai sottotoni gialli. Opaco in due passate, si vedono un po' di brushstrokes, ma neanche troppo!

Today scheduled post. This week we have a long week end, so I decided to pack two or three clothes and go to the Ledro Lake with my family! For our Battle of Planets today we'll see an asteroid shower on our blogs and the main color is grey!
I chose a polish that is better from the bottle than on the nails. It comes from an old Essie collection, Winter 2007, and it's a chrome steel with yellow undertones. Opaque in two coats, with not so much brushstrokes ^^

Da solo però non mi convince molto, quindi ho pensato di "abbellirlo" con una nail art. Questo grigio non mi ha ispirato molto a dir la verità: un po' di fail ed ecco cosa mi è uscito.
Ho fatto una gradient con il Layla Magneffect # 01 Black metal touch sulle punte e poi ho aggiunto il top coat glitterato Froze to Death di Elevation Polish (ottimo per nail art invernali! :-) ). Cosa ve ne pare?



I don't like it very much on its own, so I decided to try a nail art. After a few fails I came up with this one. 
I did a gradient with Layla Magneffect # 01 Black metal touch on the tips and then I added the glitter top coat Froze to Death by Elevation Polish (great for a winter nail art :-)). What do you think about it?

Battle of Planets # 6 - Mars: Fan brush nail art with red metal nail polishes

Ciao a tutte e buon venerdì!!
Il pianeta di oggi è Marte, il pianeta rosso, scenario perfetto per libri e film di fantascienza! A me ha ispirato una nail art in cui ho messo tutti i rossi metallici in mio possesso (non sono molti, no! :-) ) Era tanto che pensavo di usare il fan brush, e ho voluto provare: beh, il risultato mi è piaciuto così tanto che penso che tutte dovrebbero provarlo almeno una volta!! Più fan brush per tutti ^___^
Ecco cosa ho usato: per la base nera Camelot di A-England.

Hi girls and Happy Friday!

Today's planet is Mars, the red planet, the perfect setting for science fiction books and movies! It inspired me a nail art in which I put all the red metal that I own (not so many :-)) I wanted to try a fan brush for a while, and finally time has come! 

Well, I loved so much the result that I think all of you should try it at least once! More fan brush for everyone ^ ___ ^

Here's what I used:         for the black base A-England Camelot.

Battle of Planets # 5 - Earth: Anny #385 Blue bikini girl

Buongiorno ragazze e buon venerdì!!
Il pianeta di oggi è la nostra cara vecchia Terra, e il suo colore è l'azzurro, come il mare e il cielo. Direi che da oggi partono anche i miei colori preferiti, quindi giubilo!!
Ho scelto un azzurro che mi sembrava così bello da solo, da lasciarvelo nudo e crudo, senza nail art. Si tratta del mio primo e unico Anny, è un azzurro shimmer, ed il suo shimmer è davvero potente (anche lui azzurro), sotto qualsiasi luce! Io ci vedo una componente metallica, e questo è il motivo per cui è arrivato qua in questa Battaglia di Pianeti.
Le prime foto sono state fatte a cielo coperto, poi incredibilmente è tornata un po' di estate e da qualche giorno abbiamo un bellissimo e caldo sole. Le ultime foto fatte al sole mostrano le punte un po' consumate dato che lo avevo su da qualche giorno.

Today's planet is our dear old Earth, and its color is light blue, like the sea and the sky. I would say that from today we'll see all my favourite colors, so yay!!!
I chose a light blue that seemed to me so beautiful on its own, that I wanted to show you it bare and raw, without nail art. This is my first and only Anny, it's a blue shimmer, and its shimmer is really powerful under any light! I see a metallic component in it, and this is the reason why it's here in this Battle of Planets.
The first pictures were taken in overcast sky, then amazingly came back a bit of  summer and we had a few days of a beautiful and warm sunshine. The last pictures show my worn out tips because I wore this polish for some days.

Dimenticavo: è coprente in due passate, e le foto sono state fatte con il Seche Vite  per velocizzare l'asciugatura. Vi auguro un fantastico week end e vi lascio alle scelte delle mie compagne di squadra!!

Battle of Planets # 4 - Moon: A-England Excalibur (old version) + stamping

Buongiorno!!
La giornata di oggi è dedicata alla Luna, il pianeta della notte e del mistero! Il suo colore è l'argento. Nel mio stash devo avere se non uno solo, forse un paio di argenti: al contrario dell'oro è un colore che da solo non mi piace molto, e che uso soprattutto per nail art. Per questo scopo ne basta uno, no? E secondo me Excalibur va davvero alla grande come argento!! E' tutto quello che sognate in uno smalto metallico (si parla di Adina, non dimentichiamocene! :-) ): formula perfetta, one coater, una lucentezza fenomenale e risplende anche quando non c'è il sole: guardate le foto, tutte come al solito sotto un cielo coperto! I segni delle pennellate non si notano neanche tanto...Nelle foto ho dato comunque due passate di sicurezza.

Today we celebrate the moon, the planet of night and mystery! Its color is silver. In my stash I have maybe a couple of silvers. I don't like it very much on its own, and I use it mostly for nail art. For this purpose, you only need one, right? And I think Excalibur is a really great silver! It's all you want in a metallic: perfect formula, one coater, amazing brightness. It shines even when there's no sun: look at the pictures, they were all taken under an overcast sky! Brushstrokes are not so noticeable ... In these pictures, however, I put two coats.

Come vi ho detto, da solo non mi fa impazzire, così ho deciso di fare uno stamping nero-argento. Come base ho usato Camelot, sempre A-England, e sulla accent, dove ho lasciato l'argento come base, ho usato il Konad black con la Cheeky plate CH46 (di ispirazione vagamente spaziale :-) )



As I told you, I'm not fun of a whole silver mani, so I decided to try a black-silver stamping.  The black base is A-England Camelot and for the accent I used the Konad black with the Cheeky plate CH46 (this pattern reminds me something space-related :-))

Battle of Planets # 3 - Venus: Rainbow Honey Femme Bot

Ciao a tutte!!
Rieccomi qua per la Battle of Planets! Oggi è il turno del pianeta femminile per eccellenza, Venere, e il suo colore non poteva che essere il rosa!
Lo smalto che ho scelto si è rivelato essere un piccolo gioiellino.
E' un rosa foil che vira leggermente sul lilla (anche se come finish confina con il metallico) che splende sull'unghia, e me ne sono innamorata dalla prima passata! Questo è un one coater e quella che vedete nelle foto è un a sola passata! Ha un altro bonus: non si fa assolutamente fatica a togliere, e per i foil è raro, dato che di solito tutto il dito si riempie di brillantini!
E' un indie, e l'ho trovato da Atouts Charme. Fra l'altro adesso vorrei provare anche qualche altro pezzo della collezione the Robot!
Le foto sono tutte state scattate sotto un cielo coperto: ho paura che prossimamente il sole lo vedremo molto raramente qua in Pianura Padana :-(

I'm back for the Battle of the Planets! Today we celebrate the feminine planet, Venus, and its color could only be pink!
I choose a nail polish which turned out to be a little gem.
It's a pink foil that turns slightly towards a lilac. Its finish is between foil and metallic, it's difficult to define it clearly.  It's very bright and I fell in love since the first coat ! This is a one coater and you'll see one coat also in these pictures! It has another bonus: it isn't hard to remove like usually happens with foils!
It's an indie, and I found it here: Atouts Charme . Now I would like to try some of its "brothers" from the Robot Collection! 
The following pictures were all taken under an overcast sky. I'm afraid that I'll miss the sun soon here in the Po Valley :-(

Il pianeta di oggi è Mercurio e il colore a lui associato è il bronzo o marrone. Ho scelto uno smalto su cui avevo grandi aspettative. In boccetta e negli swatch lo trovavo favoloso, invece alla fine è stata un po' una delusione, perché non trovo che mi stia bene sulle unghie, e lo vedo un po' meh!
Fa parte di una collezione bellissima della OPI, la Muppets Collection uscita a Natale 2011 e il colore....beh, il colore è molto difficile da descrivere. Mi viene il dubbio che non cada completamente nel range bronzo/marrone, ma che possa entrare nel range rame, ma voi me lo passate, vero? :-)
Comunque è pieno di microparticelle foil marroni, oro e rosse in una base trasparente. Questo fa sì che sia molto sheer, infatti nelle foto vedete tre passate. E' molto bello e particolare perché da lontano lo vedete bronzo, ma da vicino scoprite tutta la sua complessità perché vedete le particelle oro accanto alle rosse e così via! Colore stupendo, ma non me lo vedo addosso: è un vero peccato!
E' uno smalto che all'ombra dà il meglio di sé!

Are you ready for another episode of Battle of Planets? Here we are! 
Today we've got Mercury, associated with bronze or brown. I chose a nail polish on which I had high expectations. In the bottle and in the swatches online I thought it was amazing, but I was disappointed, because I don't find it good on my nails and I see it a little bit meh!
It's part of  the beautiful Muppets Collection released at Christmas 2011 and its color .... well, its color is very hard to describe. Now I think that it doesn't fit completely within the range bronze / brown, because it's close to copper, but I hope you will accept it, right? :-)
However, it's full of brown, gold and red micro foil particles in a transparent-jelly base. That's why it's very sheer. In the pictures below you'll see three coats. It 's very beautiful and special because it's bronze from afar, but closely you discover all its complexity because you see the gold particles next to red ones and so on! Gorgeous color, but I don't like it on me: it's a real shame!
It gives the best of himself in the shade!
