Sono felicissima perché oggi comincia una nuova challenge a scadenza mensile, ideata e organizzata dalla fantastica Elena di
Ere K.'s Beauty Shelf! Questa iniziativa mi riempie di entusiasmo perché adoro le pietre preziose.
La birthstone è la pietra portafortuna collegata al mese di nascita di ogni individuo. A gennaio troviamo il
granato. Traduco dall'articolo che vi ho linkato: "Il nome "granato" deriva dal Latino "granatum" che significa "melograno" perché i cristalli ricordano il colore rosso e la forma dei semi di questo frutto."
In realtà se ne trovano anche di molti altri colori, come il nero o il verde.
A me ha fatto pensare subito a uno dei miei ultimi acquisti A-England, il favoloso Briarwood, dalla Burne-Jones Dream Collection.
Ho dovuto penare per fotografarlo: qua a Piacenza abbiamo avuto una sequenza quasi senza fine di giorni di pioggia, ma sono riuscita a trovare un paio d'ore di sole a metà settimana!

The birthstone is the stone connected to the month of birth of each person. In January we have the garnet. I read from the linked article: "The name “garnet” is derived from the Latin “granatum” meaning “pomegranate” because the crystals resemble the red color and seed-like form of this fruit".
In reality, we can find garnets of many other colors, such as black or green.
I did immediately think of one of my recent A-England purchases, the gorgeous Briarwood, from the Burne-Jones Dream Collection.
It was hard to photograph. Here in Piacenza we had an almost endless sequence of rainy days, but I managed to find a couple of hours of sunshine in mid-week!

Ho scattato un sacco di foto: questo gioiellino se ne merita qualcuna in più del solito! :-) E' un rosso vino con riflessi bronzo-dorati e ricoperto da un velo di particelle olografiche. Molto pigmentato, è un one-coater: la formula è eccellente, come per tutti gli A-England che ho provato finora. La qualità che Adina mette nelle sue creazioni è fuori discussione. Nelle foto vedete due passate senza top coat.
I took a lot of pics: this little gem deserves them all! :-) It's a red wine with hints of gold-bronze and covered with a layer of holographic particles. Very pigmented, it's a one-coater and the formula is excellent, as for all the A-England that I've tried so far. The quality that Adina puts in his creations is out of the question. In the pictures below you see two coats without top coat.

Mi è piaciuto così tanto che non ho voluto toglierlo e ce l'ho ancora sulle unghie: nonostante si sia un po' consumato sulle punte, dopo 5 giorni è ancora in ottime condizioni!
Il prossimo appuntamento con la Birthstone challenge è fra un mese: io vi lascio come al solito nelle splendide mani delle mie colleghe ^___^

I liked it so much that I didn't want to take it off and I still have it on my nails. Despite a little tip wear, after 5 days it's still in excellent conditions!
The Birthstone Challenge will come back in a month. I leave you as usual in the wonderful hands of my colleagues ^ ___ ^
