Kiko 427 Amable Chartreuse + stamping

Ciao a tutte!!
Stasera vi mostrerò uno dei due smalti della LE Fierce Spirit che mi sono portata a casa (il secondo è l'altro verde ^__^ Sono nel mio periodo verde!!), il Sun Pearl 427,  famoso per il suo color Shrek ^__^!!
E' un verde chartreuse molto brillante e molto estivo con uno shimmer dorato molto evidente, quindi se vi piacciono i colori un po' più originali questo fa per voi!
E' molto pigmentato, perfettamente opaco in due passate, ma ho trovato la sua formula un po' troppo densa e difficile da stendere.

Tonight I'll show you one of the polishes from the LE Fierce Spirit that I took at home (the second one is the other green ^ __ ^ I'm in my green period!), the Sun Pearl 427, famous for its Shrek color ^__^!
It's a very bright chartreuse green, very summery with a golden shimmer very strong. 
So if you prefer original colors, this is for you!
It's very pigmented, perfectly opaque in two coats, but I found his formula a bit too thick and difficult to apply.

Twinsie Friday - duochromes: Darling Diva Persephone

Buongiorno a tutte!!
Finalmente venerdì! Per chiudere la settimana smaltistica in attesa del week end oggi vi propongo un duochrome rosso vino/azzurro!!
E' un indie, il brand si chiama Darling Diva, e l'ho comprato su questo sito.
Ne ho uno della stessa famiglia, si tratta del W7 Venus, ma guardando le boccette non mi sembra dupe.
L'ho steso su base nera per far risaltare lo stacco dei colori, e vedrete che è molto evidente!! Asciuga matte, ma io l'ho preferito lucido con una mano di top coat sopra.


Qua il rosso diventa violaceo e si vede bene il passaggio.

Finally it's Friday! Today I'll show you a wine red/blue duochrome!
It's an indie, its brand is called Darling Diva, and I bought it on this website.
I've got one of the same color family, it's the W7 Venus, but looking at the bottles they seem different.
I put it on a black base and you will see the color shift very well! It dries matte, but I preferred it with a coat of top coat.


Here the red turn purple and you can clearly see the color shift.

Here red and blue are mixing and turning into a kind of grey.

Comparison post: E.L.F. Party Purple vs Essence Alice had a vision again

Buonasera a tutte!!
Qualche giorno fa, quando ho postato Party Purple della E.LF. mi avete suggerito che assomiglia ad Alice had a vision again della LE The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn part 2 di Essence. Quest'ultimo faceva parte dei miei untrieds, e mi è venuta una voglia matta di metterli uno accanto all'altro, così eccovi un piccolo post di comparazione.
Party Purple è più chiaro ed è un viola a base più rossa di Alice had a vision again. AHAVA è pieno di flakies multicolori, blu, rosa e verdi, mentre PP ha un bello shimmer argentato.
Per l'applicazione ho nettamente preferito AHAVA, nonostante il pennello della Essence troppo largo che rende la stesura imprecisa. Nelle foto che seguono ho dato due passate di AHAVA e tre di PP.

A few days ago, when I posted Party Purple from E.L.F., you have suggested me that it looks like Alice had a vision again from the LE The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn part 2 by Essence. It was one of my untrieds, and I suddenly wanted to put them next to each other, so here's a little post of comparison.
Party Purple is lighter and its base is redder than Alice had a vision again. AHAVA is full of multicolored flakies, blue, pink and green, while PP has a beautiful silver shimmer.
Referring to the application I preferred AHAVA, despite the Essence brush is too wide. In the following pics I put two coats of AHAVA and three of PP.

Twinsie Friday - duochromes: China Glaze Unpredictable

Buongiorno a tutte!!
Per l'appuntamento duochrome di oggi avevo voglia di qualcosa di verde, così ho preso Unpredictable della collezione New Bohemian Luster Chrome Autunno 2012.
Beh, mi sono totalmente innamorata di questo smalto: è uno dei miei preferiti in assoluto e mi è dispiaciuto toglierlo!! I colori vanno dal verde-oro all'azzurro-teal e il passaggio è piuttosto netto. In ombra si vede bene il verde-oro nella parte centrale dell'unghia e l'azzurro-teal sui lati. E' coprente in due passati (non ho usato basi colorate sotto), e l'unico difetto che gli si può riscontrare sono i segni delle pennellate, ma il colore è così bello che alla fine quei segni passano in secondo piano!

Today I wanted to wear something green, so I took Unpredictable from the New Bohemian Luster Chrome Collection (Fall 2012).
Well, I am totally in love with this nail polish: it's one of my  favorites and I didn't want to take it off! The colors shift from green-gold to blue-teal with a rather strong change. In the shade you can clearly see the green-gold in the central part of the nail and the blue-teal on the sides. It's opaque in two coats (I didn't use any coloured base), and the only defect I can found in it are the brushstrokes, but the color is so beautiful that I forget them!

Discontinued Day # 1 - E.L.F. Party Purple

Buongiorno a tutte!!
Alle nuove iniziative non riesco a dire di no, e adoro collaborare con le mie smaltamiche! Per quella che comincia oggi devo ringraziare una di loro, Jessica di Polishically Uncorrect che l'ha ideata, organizzata e curata. Ma in cosa consiste?
Una volta al mese ognuna di noi sceglierà uno smalto o prodotto di make up che non si trova più in circolazione o perché troppo vecchio o perché uscito in edizione limitata. In questo modo possiamo tirare fuori dal nostro helmer smalti comprati e mai messi, dimenticati (poverini! :-( ) o surclassati dalle novità del momento! Oggi saranno loro i protagonisti ^___^
Io ho tirato fuori uno smaltino della ELF,  marca che mi aveva un po' deluso per la cattiva qualità degli smalti, e per la scarsissima durata. Questo in particolare l'avevo ricevuto in omaggio con un'offerta insieme ad altri prodotti di make up: purtroppo non so dirvi quando e quale offerta, ma fino ad oggi non l'avevo mai provato!
Devo dire che sono stata contenta di avergli dato una seconda chance: è un viola melanzana con uno shimmer dalla tonalità fredda ben visibile sia alla luce che all'ombra. Gli ho dato due passate, ma secondo me per una buona coprenza ce ne vorrebbero almeno tre. La formula non è granché, non si uniforma bene sull'unghia e lascia chiazze vuote (anche per quello ci vorrebbe la terza passata). Inoltre, come tutti gli altri cugini della vecchia formulazione E.L.F. si rovina quasi solo a guardarlo :-((
Il colore però merita, vero? :-)

You know that I can't say no to any new initiative and I love posting with my nail polish friends! I have to thank one of them for the Discontinued Day, Jessica from Polishically Uncorrect, who took care for everything. 
But what is it?
Once a month, each one of us will choose a nail polish or a make-up product that is no longer available in stores because it's too old or because it came out in a limited edition. So we can finally wear some of our old untrieds, forgotten in our helmers! 
I choose an ELF, brand that disappointed me a bit in the past for the bad formula of its old polishes. I have received this one for free with an offer along with other make-up products, I don't remember when, but it's still untried!
I must say that I 'm glad to have given him a second chance. It's an eggplant purple with a cold shimmer visible in both light and shade. I put two coats, but I think it would take at least three for a good coverage, and it doesn't even out properly (maybe a third coat would help!). In addition to that, it chips very very fast :-((
Its color, however, deserves, right? :-)

Twinsie Friday - duochromes: Enchanted Polish Ola Rio

Buongiorno a tutte!
Finalmente è venerdì! Come sapete, è giorno di duochromes, e mi mancava una tipologia all'appello: i glitter!! Sono rimasta totalmente affascinata dalla collezione di Enchanted Polish, una marca indie, Big City Lights, 4 multichrome glitter dedicati ognuno a una città diversa. Oggi vi mostro Ola Rio, il "brasiliano" del gruppo ^__^
I glitter sono sospesi in una base trasparente, e cosa meglio del nero per farli risaltare? I colori vanno dal rosa fuchsia al rame, l'arancione, l'oro, il verde: a ogni angolo di luce vedrete sfumature diverse!!
Ho messo un solo strato di Ola Rio su base nera, e una mano di Seche Vite per lucidare. Che ve ne pare?

Finally it's Friday! As you know, it's duochromes day, and today I'll show you a glitter one!! I was totally in love with the Big City Lights collection by Enchanted Polish, an indie brand: 4 multichrome glitter dedicated to 4 different cities. Today I'll show you Ola Rio, the"Brazilian" of the group ^ __ ^

The glitter are suspended in a clear base, and what better than a black base to make them stand out? The colors shift from pink to copper, orange, gold, green and more!

I put a single coat of Ola Rio on a black base, and a coat of Seche Vite. What do you think about it?

Chirality Katydid

Ciao a tutte!!
Era tantissimo tempo che non mettevo più un holo, e finalmente oggi ci siamo.  Festeggio il sole di questi giorni (finché dura, dato che non siamo ancora alla fine di questa lunga stagione delle piogge) con questo smaltino della Chirality, che ho scoperto fare degli holo dai colori molto particolari!
E' un holo scattered verde mela con un'ottima formula; l'ho steso sulla base Essence 24/7 senza problemi, opaco in due passate, senza top coat sopra.

After a long break, finally I wore a holo! I celebrate the sun of these days (while it lasts, because we're not yet at the end of this looong rainy season) with this Chirality, which makes some holographic polishes with very unique colors! 
It's a scattered apple green holo with a wonderful formula.  I put it over the Essence 24/7 base without any problem, and it's opaque in two coats without top coat.

La miniboccetta l'ho presa da Atoutscharme, € 5,79 per 7 ml, ma ho scoperto poi che si può trovare anche su questo sito svedese (senza problemi di dogana): Edgy Polish.

I bought this mini bottle from Atoutscharme, € 5.79 for 7 ml, but lately I found another reseller: the swedish (no Customs problems) Edgy Polish.
